Macenstein’s “Mac Chick of the Month” (August 2008): Miki Black
Welcome to Macenstein‘s “Mac Chick of the Month”. Each month we feature a different die-hard, Mac-loving girl who is (almost) as well designed as the Apple products they love. This month we present you with the lovely Miki Black, a model/musician and die hard Mac Chick who is so fine, she blows our mind. Hey Miki! (We’re sure she’s never heard THAT one before!) Oh, and she has the best taste in music and movies we’ve yet found in a Mac Chick! 
Miki’s love of the Mac was spurred by her love of the arts. “I always had a love for the arts so I pursued the field of Graphic Design in college,” says Miki. “I received my B.F.A. in Commercial Art/Computer Design from Millikin University, a small private liberal arts college in Illinois, and worked as a Graphic Designer for a few years. I quickly became quite technically savvy due to the fact that people sometimes think a Graphic Designer has the same knowledge base as an IT person. I am very grateful for this though because I have since learned a great deal about computers!”
“In college, I was trained on Macs, of course, but my first computer was actually a PC because I couldn’t afford a Mac at the time. After having two PC’s, the second one being a gift from my Dad, I finally splurged two years ago and got myself a MacBook Pro. It is my pride and joy and sits with me on the sofa resting on my trusty iLap so I can surf and work while I watch TV in the evenings. My dogs like this setup as well because the poor things were being ignored when I sat at my desk and surfed. Now I can browse through forum after forum researching all the many products that I am interested in while my dogs snooze quietly beside me.”
Although she considers herself a bit of a Redneck, Miki’s traveled quite extensively for a girl her age. “My brother and I were raised in both the Midwest and the Middle East by an Okinawan Mother and ex-Green Beret, Vietnam Vet Father. I did a lot of traveling while I lived overseas and have experienced just about every culture, but I’m really more of a Redneck than anything else. The Midwest does not wear off too easily! I now spend most of my days in sunny Southern California and consider this my home.”

Not only is she absolutely gorgeous, but if you read her bio on her website, she sounds like her life experiences surpasses her looks. Wow. Absolutely amazing! Great face, great body, great experience, graphic design/ceramics/art background, and musical! What can’t this girl do.
