Steam powered iPod charger made from LEGOS

LEGOS. Is there anything they CAN’T do? Steampunk reader Thomas writes: “I coupled a Lego Technic Motor to a Jensen #75 steam engine to make a crude generator. From there I built a 5V regulator circuit and soldered in a female USB connection to power any USB device. Will Apple pretend iPhone video recording requires the new iPhone?

Looks like all the rumors about a possible iPhone video recording app for this Summer have been confirmed. Apple announces it still makes Xserves

Apple today announced that not only do they still make Xserves, but they actually updated them. According to Apple, the new Xseres “deliver up to twice the performance of the previous system,” and feature Intel’s new “Nehalem” Xeon processors and a next generation system architecture, giving the ew Xserves up to an 89 percent improvement in performance per watt over the previous model, which they were still apparently selling.
