“Unknown face” my ass!

I totally know that guy.

As much as I love this shot of iPhoto’s new “Faces” technology identifying a cookie dough blob as a face, it looks just a little too perfect for me. I mean, look at all the other dough balls… that chip placement is suspect, to say the least.

Thanks to faithful Macenstein reader Jimmy Schapira for the tip!

  2. That simply owns. Not only does iPhoto recognize real people (sometimes) and pets (sort of) it now is so advanced that it even recognizes the cookie dough among all other average doughs. Genius!

iPhoto ’09 actually detects the hair of a friend of mine as another face all the time. It even recognizes the “hair-person” across multiple images. I have called it “M’s-Hair” and it gets tagged right every time! Weird thing.

I’ve found some really funny ones on my iPhoto. Here’s my favorite categories: faces in pictures/screens, faces on statues, animals, faces in crowds, famous faces (which should be in some kind of database), faces on objects and shape faces. I have a group on Flickr for anyone who wants to add their own. http://www.flickr.com/groups/1075190@N21/
