“It’s a trick, get an axe”

You might think you’re the biggest Army of Darkness fan out there, but you’re not.
I am.
Not only have I memorized every frame of the movie, including the credits (I want to give a shout out to Bundy Chanock, the on set medic), I even sat front row center in the “Splatter Zone” for the “Evil Dead: The Musical” off-Broadway play with a special appearance by Bruce Campbell. It was probably the best day of my life, followed distantly by the birth of my two children. So you can understand why I was very excited to see that MGM has released the FREE “Army of Darkness Sound Board” app for the iPhone.

AND, you can also probably understand that I was CRUSHED to find that while it includes 16 sound clips from the movie, NONE of which is “It’s a trick, get an axe”, probably the best line in the entire movie, and something I say pretty much every day (people are often trying to trick me). So kudos to MGM for acknowledging the greatness that IS Army of Darkness, but a big “WTF?” for including the chainsaw sound over “It’s a trick, get an axe”. But Kudos again for including profanity, and still getting a 9+ rating.

  4. I’m also a fan of the immortal “Don’t call me Ash” and this film, and I too have the problem of people playing tricks on me. That line is brilliant.

  8. MGM also neglected to include the first part of the “Jack Sh|t” line.

    “Well, hello-Mr.-Fancy-Pants.”

    HUGE error.
