This contest is closed. Congrats to faithful Macenstein reader Min.

On the Sixteenth Day After Christmas, Macenstein gave to you (or, more accurately, gave you a chance to win…) A set of AKG K 313 Earbuds!

akg k 313 earbuds

Sure, we all love our iPods and iPhones, but let’s face it, the stock earbuds are not exactly the best-sounding or most comfortable things around. Lucky for you, we’ve got you covered with the AKG K 313 earbuds, a noticeable step up in quality.

Larger drivers for richer sound.
The new AKG K 313 semi-open headphones feature 13mm drivers for wide-spectrum, high-output sound from virtually any portable device, anywhere your travels may take you. Available in a choice of colors with an included carrying pouch, K 313 lets you enjoy a private listening space in any public environment.

To enter: Since the K 313’s have awesome new drivers, we were wondering how awesome a driver YOU are! Leave us a comment telling us how’s your driving record? Ever had any accidents? Tickets? DUI’s? Hit and Runs?. Don’t worry, we won’t judge you. Winners will be picked randomly 7 days later and notified (kind of like in The Ring, only with less killing… we hope). Open to US and Canadian readers only. Good luck, and thanks for reading Macenstein! (Oh, and be sure to enter ALL our “12 Days AFTER Christmas” Giveaways!)
Please note: Comments may take a while to show up, please do not double-post. Thanks!

  2. I have been in several accidents. None have been my fault since I was a teenager. Those were due to typical teenage showing off. I get a speeding ticket about once every 10-15 years. I try to keep it down but when the cruise control breaks and you drive 2-3 hours day what can I say.

  3. Steven Thompson on Sun, 10th Jan 2010 1:17 am
  4. spotless record, but that’s more about luck ad less following the rules…

  178. I almost got a speeding ticket in my white minivan the other day. I was doing about 80 in a 65 on the freeway when I spotted a motorcycle CHPS pointing a radar gun right at me. I immediately dropped behind another car going slightly slower in the next lane over, using it as a shield to hide behind.

Sure enough the cop holster the radar and jumped on the bike. I watched him zipping up behind me like he was moving a light speed, those BMW’s are fast! I moved into the right hand lane fearing it was ticket time for me. To my surprise the cop zipped right past me and dogged around a few other cars, them switched on the flashing lights and pulled over a red Corolla! Was the other car really speeding? Who knows but it was red, and red gets the ticket!

  220. probably gonna alienate everyone here but like Daniel, being a Cop, you kinda get used to driving a lil fast. It’s what we are trained to do so I have been pulled over several times but my record is clean other than one speeding ticket when I was a teen. I did have a DPS Trooper (Texas) try to lecture me once for going 5 over tho. We both had kids in the same class and I was trying to catch up to the bus for a field trip. I think he was upset that he didn’t get to go to the Caverns that day.

I haven’t had but one accident in my adult life, and that was at the hands of a drunk driver. We hit head-on, both traveling around 60 mph. He was killed, but I have had 5 years of recovery. At least I can walk and run again!

  286. My 2002 Saturn is going to get its 4th repair for the front bumper. I’ve gotten hit and runs while parked each time, and was only successful in catching one person thanks to some contractors working on a nearby house. I found an identical $100 parts car, the same color and year, and will just use that for the latest fix.

When people can’t drive in a parking lot, it’s time to get off the road.

  372. I once hit a patch of black ice on a freeway exit and slid over the curb (bending the front axle and totaling the 20-year-old car). The cop that showed up gave me a ticket for “driving too fast for conditions.” Guess I should have foreseen the invisible ice on the otherwise clean highway!
