Review: Ultrasone’s Zino S-Logic Natural Surround Sound Portable Headphones
I often find it funny when I meet someone who is obsessed with their iPod or iPhone, yet continues to use the stock earbuds that ship with the device. Yes, they’re not the worst earbuds in the world (although they ARE some of the most overpriced if you need to buy a replacement set) but if you use them as your sole conduit of sound between your music player and your ears, then you are missing out on a large part of the music listening experience. To truly get the most... Read More
Miss District of Columbia hearts her iPhone
OK, sure it isn’t a “real” state, but as anyone who’s ever been mugged there knows, Washington DC is somehow able to cram a state’s worth of criminals and homeless into its 61.4 square miles, making it feel roughly as large as Delaware. And as such, DC has achieved the dream long held by American Samoa, Guam and Minor US Outlying Islands – it gets to send a chick to the Miss USA pageant. Now, as most of you know, I have every Miss USA pageant... Read More

Surprise Surprise: Apple cameos abound in Toy Story 3 trailer
We’ve all seen Steve Jobs crowbar Apple products into past Pixar films, but given how many Apple cameos we can see in the brief two and half minutes of Toy Story 3′s trailer, odds are this thing is going to play like an Apple commercial. In fact, I don’t want to give too much away, but I’ve heard the ending takes place inside Apple’s 5th Ave Store while Yael Naim’s New Soul plays. Here we see the toys using an iMac… … and Safari… ... How many orange slices does it take to charge an iPhone? About 2380
Nice to know if you’re ever in Florida with a drained iPhone and a box of metal skewers and a couple hundred feet of wire you will (eventually) be able to make a call. I’m not sure why Mophie or some other iPhone battery pack maker didn’t think to use this as a commercial for their product, but it’s pretty cool. Thanks to faithful Macenstein reader Tim for the link! Read More
Holographic iPhone concept disappoints
I don’t know about you, but when I hear “hologram”, I think of two things: Ethereal projections emanating from small, coin-sized, hand-held discs, and really amazing porn. But more level-headed designer Josselin Zaïgouche decided to try his hand at creating what he imagines a holographic iPhone might look like (circa the year 2020), and I have to say, I’m a little unimpressed. Behold “The Apple Black Hole”. Now, is it just me, or is the... Read More

Adobe: 7 million people attempt to download Flash each month to their iPhones
Adobe unleashed a pretty damaging statistic in the whole “You Suck” , “Well you smell!” thing going on between Apple and Adobe right now. Apparently despite Steve Jobs’ claims that Flash is on the way out, Adobe reports that over 7 million iPhone and iPod touch users attempted to install Flash on their iPhones in the month of December alone. Stats were measured based on unsuccessful attempts to install Flash from Adobe.com. I’m not positive... Read More
