Surprise Surprise: Apple cameos abound in Toy Story 3 trailer

We’ve all seen Steve Jobs crowbar Apple products into past Pixar films, but given how many Apple cameos we can see in the brief two and half minutes of Toy Story 3’s trailer, odds are this thing is going to play like an Apple commercial. In fact, I don’t want to give too much away, but I’ve heard the ending takes place inside Apple’s 5th Ave Store while Yael Naim’s New Soul plays.

Here we see the toys using an iMac…

… and Safari…

Oh, and there’s Andy’s computer, and iTunes…

Thanks to faithful Macenstein reader Billy for the tip!

  4. No, that’s the point. Unfortunately there’s no [sarcasm] tag to make my writing style more obvious…

  8. So what? So because Jobs is related to Disney and Pixar you shouldn’t see an iMac or anything else made by Apple? So maybe only Dell and Windows? Come on.

  10. I’ve never seen any product placement including Apple products in past Pixar films. This would be the first. Which did I miss in the past Pixar films?

  12. Actually, it was fairly obvious it was sarcasm.

Who repeats “Surprise” without intending it to be sarcasm?

  14. Strangely, the UI for the chat window has the maximize and close buttons on the right side like it would in windows instead of left. Perhaps the texture-applicator forgot it was a mac screenshot behind his chat addition?

  28. @RowellE Wall-e’s restart sound is the same as a MAC. Also his TV is an iPod with a big lens in front of it.
