No iPads in stock? Just buy a Hyundai
Faithful Macenstein reader Dan points us to one of the more unusual auto promotions going on right now. Hyundai has decided to cash in on the iPad craze by offering a free iPad with every new 2011 Hyundai Equus.
While giving away the latest Apple product to entice buyers is nothing new, what makes the iPad tie-in unique is that Hyundai has decided to load the Equss’ user manual onto the iPad. and it’s not just going to be a lame PDF or something. Hyundai Motor America CEO John Krafcik claims the user manual will be “interactive”, and users can also use the app to make service appointments form their iPad.
No word yet on which model iPad you’ll be getting with Equus, but one thing’s for sure, if you are in the market for a $55,000 Equus, odds are you can probably afford your own iPad. Still, free is free, and if you can’t wait until your local store gets its stock back, this is a great option.
