Edited with Premiere 5.5

A lot has been made of the clusterfuck that is Final Cut Pro X, with 70% of the negative publicity coming from my Twitter. I recently posted a video from the Conan O’Brien show which bashed FCP X’s lack of professional features, and at the time I thought it was ballsy of Conan to dedicate time to lampooning a product very few, if any, or his audience members had ever heard of, much less used. Well, in the interest of beating a dead horse, and getting further into the minutia of why FCP X blows, check out this wonderful video by (former) Final Cut Pro user Jeffery Harrell.

Jeffery Harrell: “I used Final Cut Pro X for a while. And I formed some opinions about it.
Oh, and since it’s been asked: I cut this with Premiere 5.5 on my laptop. Never used Premiere before, needed a project to learn on.”

Without a doubt, the most creative and well crafted slam down I think I have ever seen. Nicely done!

I’m an editor, professionally, and I have never seen a more beautiful video than this. WOW. The sound bites were not only a great idea, but executed perfectly!
