“If you see a stylus, they blew it.”
Looks like Samsung blew it.
As has been the trend in recent years, Apple once again did not bother to fork over the big bucks for a Super Bowl spot, but that doesn’t mean Apple wasn’t represented. Of course, it was in the form of a line of Apple-fanboys lined up in the cold (presumably for hours or days) for the next “big thing” from Apple, but who are instead ultimately converted to Samsung fans when they see that the new Galaxy Note has… A STYLUS!
I realize that Samsung is trying to differentiate their Galaxy Note from the iPhone and the “mindless sheep” who enjoy their products, but to attempt to use the fact that the phone comes with a stylus as a selling point… I don’t recall hearing, seeing, or smelling ANYONE complaining about the iPhone’s lack of a stylus. In fact, why not put a winding power crank on the side of the Note and have the Apple fans in line “ooh” and “Ahh” about it?
Out of all Steve Jobs’ quotes about technology, I feel his famous “if you see a stylus, they blew it.”, referring to anything with a touch screen, was perhaps his most spot-on.
