First iPhone 5 Broken on Camera

Well, that didn’t take long. Supplies of the iPhone 5 are tight (just ask me and my 21 day wait from AT&T), yet that hasn’t stopped Cygnett from breaking one to showcase their new iPhone 5 cases.

Yeah, the video is a bit of a yawner – they didn’t do anything too crazy like run it over with a mini Cooper driven by two strippers or anything, but what it DOES show is that one relatively innocuous fall is still all it takes to break the screen and damage the sides.

Looks like the Aluminum construction isn’t going to hurt the case business much.

Fortunately, I have never dropped my iPhone from shoulder height.

Was it really necessary to prove to people that glass breaks. Just think if we applied this logic to everything new. You drop a baby from shoulder height….I’m pretty sure it will break as well. Although, if they did this, it sure would make their video far more interesting.

Yeah right. Since casemakers are so reliable when it comes to drop tests.

Have you watched the video comparing the iphone 5 to the GS3 in drop test? In that one the iPhone survived an ear level fall without any break in the glass.
