I thought this when I was watching the stream. I think the same thing happened a few years ago when he got all the different presenters to help him on stage.

I’m afraid to say that I think he may be in bad health once again. I was actually suprised no-one else has mentioned this because to me it was instantly recognisable that he has suffered a lot of weight loss.

I don’t really want to speculate any more, but needless to say, if it turns out he is ill once again, I give him my full support and wish him better health.

Sorry, I’m not seeing THAT dramatic a difference. So not worried at all. While he did look a little thinner this past Monday, the above pictures don’t seem to show anything alarming. And the first one appears to be a tighter shot.

I think it would be more interesting to find a shot from 2002 or 2001 and compare that with this past Monday, but that would probably send the stock plunging.

All that aside, if Steve actually was gravely ill I don’t think he would be giving 2 hour presentations every 6 months.

He had a rare form of pancreatic cancer which was curable with surgery. Anyhow he really looks like Gandhi. Apple PR say that he suffered from a “common bug” and he is undergoing antibiotics lately… Tough antibiotics, indeed… i call’em Chemiotherapy… again?

I really hopo its not like that. I really love our Steve. Call me fanboy but I just can’t Imagine that a man like Steve could die. C’mon he “ignited” the computer revolution!

Yeah, it seams a little strange, but he might be right.
My gran has pancreatic cancer and the first thing that brought growth to a halt a few weeks ago was some kind of natural treatment combined with modern chemistry.

My first thought is that Steve delivered an excellent keynote as usual. We should be careful when discussing someone’s health. How about Phil Schiller? That guy is huge. His heart has to be pumping extra. (Don’t even get me started on Ballmer.) Did anyone think it a little odd/ironic the time given to the medical community and the iphone in yesterday’s address. Could that have been Steve’s PET & CAT scan we were looking at during the presentation? Great Job’s quote is, “I want to make a dent in the universe.” Man has he. Hope he is healthy, but the change in appearance in six months combined with Apple stating today, “Steve is feeling a little under the weather,” is disturbing, considering he hid his last fight with cancer for nine months. He will be in my prayers.

Hi guys, I’m a doctor and it’s not that common to lose so many pounds in a matter of 6 months (only someone who’s on a hard strict diet, something Steve-O does not need). When a patient has cancer no matter what treatment he or she went through, these patient are considered cured after 5 to 10 years after beginning a treatment. That’s why patients who suffer this unfortunate disease has to keep going to the doctor for more and more screenings. I hope he is not suffering relapse on his disease. True that a viral infection can make you lose some pounds, but not that many. You can tell by his cheekbones. Anyway, I wish him the best, not only because he is so important to Apple, just because he’s a person who had cancer and he looks sick.

When I watched the keynote, I immediately noticed that Steve looked like he lost a lot of weight. It’s very possible that he is undergoing a precautionary course of chemotherapy that could result in weight loss. At any rate, I hope he is well and wish him all the best.

I thought this as well, however I didn’t watch the keynote, just the live coverage blog postings over it at engadget. He does not look well at all, not just the loss of weight but there is a loss of colour in his face as well. Though it is really hard to say, could just be the lighting at the moment, but one thing is clear and that is the weight loss.

In any case, I wish him well and better health. Though this is rather morbid to speculate on his possible demise, it would be most fitting for Apple to re-release or recreate the “here’s to the crazy ones” think different ad, and adding him in the end part. He definitely would deserve it…

I’ve had cancer, twice. It’s not cancer that makes you look sick, it’s the chemotherapy. And looking closely at Steve, he clearly hasn’t had chemo. He’s thin - definitely, but not emaciated. He’s got muscle tone, a tan, his hair, his eyebrows, and most tellingly - he’s got a bit of fat on his hands. Speaking from experience - hands get boney really quickly - especially if you don’t have much body mass to start with.

Yeah, he’s lost weight, but I don’t think it’s cancer. At least I hope not.

I watched the keynote and the first thing I noticed was how thin Steve looked. Watch the video and pay attention to the shoulders and arms. My dad had bladder cancer and had a combination of radiation and chemo. He did not lose his hair. Not all chemo patients do. During his treatments he lost a fair amount of weight because the chemo makes you sick and you do not feel like eating. I hope Steve is not fighting cancer and wish him the best. I do not want to think about Apple without Steve. Oh and for anyone who cares my dad is a cancer survivor and I hope he remains cancer free. It is a terrible disease.
