Welcome to Macenstein’s“Mac Chick of the Month”. Each month we feature a different die-hard, Mac-loving girl who is (almost) as well designed as the Apple products they love. This month we are ecstatic to be featuring the lovely Becca, a New York based songwriter whose talents have already earned her a gold record.

Becca is a New York based songwriter, performer and composer. Her originality and technical prowess have brought her to music venues spanning New York, Boston, Austin, Los Angeles, San Francisco, London, and Mexico.

She composes, arranges, produces, and performs her own music, moving seamlessly from acoustic piano to orchestral scores to electro-dance pop.

Becca started winning public recognition for her compositions at the age of eleven at ASCAP’s Young Composers competitions and studied composition at Juilliard. She’s received a Gold Record for her involvement with the Trans Siberian Orchestra and has been a finalist in the John Lennon Songwriting Contest.

Currently, she is recording new material in the studio and is working on a commissioned piece for Melodia Women’s Choir to premiere in Spring 2007.

    34. She does not have the Mac ON in the first (top) photo. Had it been ON, she would have needed a doctor to attend to her burnt lap due to the MBP!
