Scare the crap out of your co-workers with the “Kernel Panic” Screen Saver

Where was this 9 days ago when we were looking for our April Fool’s prank!??

The maniacally geeky folks over at Doomlaser have created the single most awesome screen saver since Mr. Sparkle. The Kernel Panic screen saver simulates a real-life Kernel panic when activated, and is sure to give a heart attack to any unsuspecting Mac user who’s machine you are able to secretly install it on. (See video below).

Thus far, it has fooled everyone in here at the lab, and caused a fair deal of cursing to be overheard down the hall. Be warned, as most people know who have experienced a real kernel panic, the only way out is to hold down the power key and reboot. Doing so will cause you to loose all unsaved work, so if you are planning on springing this on a co-worker, it is likely a good idea to make sure they aren’t working on anything critical in case they immediately attempt to reboot (unless of course you are the company dickhead, like me).

Every time you submit our site, an Angel gets its wings.

  8. This is awesome.
I let my nephew use my MacBook occasionally (listen to iTunes, play some games or surf when the PC is being used by his sister).
    Eggcellent.
