In their eternal quest to avoid a version 1.0 release, the folks over at HandBrake have just announced the release of HandBrake 0.9.0. There are a slew of enhancements, most notably improved video quality and the addition of iPhone and PSP presets, and the interface has undergone a bit a sprucing up as well. Download version 0.9.0 here.

Oh, and if you are confused by the lack of the alleged iPhone preset (like me), be sure to choose UPDATE BUILT-IN PRESETS from Handbrakes’ Preset menu.

  2. I have started to use the new HandBrake. It has a bug. If you go to picture settings and try to change the size (I like to make them smaller to make the file smaller since it is just for my iPod) after a few clicks the program shuts down. It is a little frustrating. Great program, just thought you would like to know about the small release bug.

Tell me what you're thinking...
