Bring Leopard back to the 1700’s with a Wooden Dock
The Leopard beta has been out so long that many people were sick of the new 3D dock before they even got a chance to use it. Well, luckily there are no shortages of Dock hacks floating around to let you spice up the bottom (or side, if you’re into that) of your screen.
These latest two don’t get rid of Leopard’s 3D-ness, but they are sure to provide seconds of fun when your friends see them. Todd Baur’s “Sky” and “Wood” themes are easy to install (but back up your original dock files first people!) and will surely have your friends saying things like “Woah, how’d you do that?” and “Woah, WHY did you do that?” (you did back up, right?).
Download and installation instructions here.

Hi downloaded wood, followed instructions but after copying the new files from the Wood folder into the Dock folder a pop window came on and said Authenticate, I pushed it, then asked for my password, gave it and appeared to replace the files.
However, no change on the dock shelve to wood, even after reboot.
What’s the scoops ?
You spelled bottom wrong in your first paragraph.
Thanks Steve!
Maybe try repairing permissions (I believe that’s what you call it) and then restarting. Go to Disk Utility, click the Repair tab and have it check the HD. I believe I had to do this when installing some old dock hacks in os 10.4.
Tell me what you're thinking...
