Aww crap, and my birthday just passed…

Each year people ask me what I want for my birthday, and each year I can’t think of anything that I want that costs less than $300, so I get nothing. Yet take a look at these kick-ass iPhone app icon Refrigerator magnets!
At only $12.99 they would have made the perfect gift! … if only I had a black refrigerator… which I guess bumps the price up by at least $800… so once again I get nothing.

7 things Apple can do to REALLY clean up the App Store
Filed under: Opinion, You Bet I'm Pissed, iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch, iTunes
When Apple decided to make its somewhat arbitrary iTunes “porn” (and I use the term loosely) purge last month, one of the made up reasons it gave for justifying the move was that developers and customers were finding it hard to find quality apps amidst all the “adult” material. Well as we saw, removing those 5,000 apps (or less than 3% of all apps) did more or less nothing to fix the issue.
While we certainly do not wish to see ANY developers’ livelihood taken away from them (adult themed or otherwise) we have come up with a list of apps that are causing far more damage to the iTunes store than the adult apps ever did. So if Apple actually IS serious about cleaning up the app store and helping developers get noticed, here’s 7 sure fire ways they could do just that. Read more
FINALLY! An iPhone stand you can kill someone with!
Filed under: Apple Fanboyism, Awesomeness, Hardware, design, iPhone
ForkedUpArt has finally given us an iPhone stand that not only looks cool, it can also be used to stab would-be iPhone thieves, or to eat spaghetti – your choice. Behold the Fork Head iPhone stand!
Also available is the somewhat Roswell-looking Spoon Head model.
Both items are $20, and come with the disclaimer that they “do not include iPhone or cable”, in case you are an idiot looking for a bargain.

The UK’s Sun and Daily Mail fooled by iPhone Ghost app
We’re not exactly ones to check our sources, but then again, we’re a web page, and if it turns out we write something stupid, we can always hit “delete” and hope everyone forgets about it. (Yes, I know, Google never forgets). But unfortunately for UK papers the Sun and Daily Mail, their idiocy will live on in print for years. Case in point: Check out the following stories both papers ran when John Ware, a 47-year old builder, sent in a pic he allegedly snapped of a 19th century ghost boy while his company tore down an old school house.

The Sun

The Daily Mail
Very Spooky, to be sure. Yet, as you can see, that mysterious ghost boy is ALSO haunting the 99¢ iPhone app “Ghost Capture“, which allows you to place a variety of ghosts on top of any photo you’d like.
