When Ken over at The Cook’s Den needed something special to spice up his iPad launch party, his thoughts naturally turned to carving Steve Jobs’ head out of cheese.

A self-described Apple fanboy, Ken has not only graciously posted instructions on how you too can carve your own Steve Jobs cheesehead, but he’s also detailed 3 different recipes that will surely make your guests’ heads go “BOOM!”
My only question is, isn’t it a little early to be making food for a launch party nearly 3 weeks away? What’’s the shelf life of a Steve Jobs cheese head? I know I’m not making my Strawberry Woz Pie until April 2nd.
Detective Munch denies choking Apple Store employee

Richard Belzer’s “Detective Munch” character holds the distinction of being the only fictional character (played by a single actor) to appear on eight different television shows, and it looks like that number could go up to 9, assuming you count Apple Store security footage.
Earlier this week Belzer was accused by NY Apple Store employee Milan Agnew of assault when he put his hands on her shoulders and asked for help while waiting in line at the Apple Store’s “Genius Bar”. While I am not a big fan of strangers touching me (at least not 65 year-old male strangers) it appears to have been a gross over reaction on the part of Agnew, and after reviewing the Apple Store surveillance tapes, the NYPD agreed and no formal charges have been filed. Belzer describes the incident to HLN’s Joy Behar in the clip below. (I apologize in advance both for Joy Behar’s voice and Richard Belzer’s ears).

OMG THE iPAD HAS A CAMERA!
OK, I won’t say the iPad is going to ship with a camera, or even that that is what we are seeing here in Apple’s iPad ad, but as faithful Macenstein reader Mike points out, that does kinda sorta look like the spot a camera WOULD go, if the iPad DID have a camera.
So, did they use a prototype for the commercial? Or is it simply a well-placed, (beveled) piece of dust? Is it the guy who hangs himself in the background of the Wizard of OZ? Why are we looking frame by frame at a commercial?
I don’t know, but it seems to only appear on that 1 iPad in the ad (about 4 seconds in). Weird.
Some things are just so stupid that they’re awesome…

… and some things are just stupid.
I am somewhat on the fence here about the Retro TV Dinner Turkey Corn and Mash Potatoes Gadget Case for the iPhone/iTouch.
Sure, it seems like a good idea for a joke gift, but at $20 it rivals the cost of many “real” iPhone cases that a person might actually use. Now, if it looked like bacon, that would be different. But as it stands, there are simply too many carbs for me.
