coldplays strawberry swing, because you had to unlock the video (the only reason i purchased the app) by playing a ton of crappy games.
CoPilot Live North America because not only does it take forever to calculate the route but half the time i’m driving in some area between roads according to the not so easy to read map that’s displayed. Not to mention the fact that no matter how many times I mess with the setting OR restore my iPhone completely it always announces the turn I’m supposed to make when I’m ~5 feet away from it or have already driven almost a half a mile past it.
I’d say the XBox Guide app is the most disappointing app. It takes forever to load and even longer to find the game I’m looking for. There’s no built in search, either. It’s just horrible.
AT&T’s “Mark The Spot” which, in the greatest of all ironies, is supposed to allow you to inform AT&T of when you get a dropped call, loss of network etc, but that at each time I’ve used it I’ve received a “No Network” error and the app has crashed… *sigh*. AT&T: 0, IRONY: 1
Well, so far even the more disappointing apps I have downloaded weren’t that bad. Most of the “bad ones” are actually pretty decent and worth the price.
If I have to pick the one that have disappointed me it would have to be “Star Wars Trench Run”. The game pretty much repeats itself and isn’t complex enough to entertain me beyond the initial excitement of flying an X-Wing though the death star trenches (which is exiting for about 30 seconds).
It’s not a bad game – just repetitive and without much reply value. Could have been more. So yes, somewhat a disappointment.
I have to say it’s spite & malice lite… just a bad name to a great game.
iMated. Rubbish.
The ifart app… Not. Worth. It.
Oregon Trail. I played it once and died of dysentery. Haven’t played since.
Vonage Mobile. Does NOTHING with my current vonage plan. I should be able to at LEAST listen to my voicemail! Geesh!
AT&T’s application was disappointing to me as well. 🙁
The worst app? Bluetooth photo share
Lame app called OXXO.
apps? what ‘r apps?
Battle.net Mobile Authenticator It has locked me out of my account many a times. and removing the Authenticator is always a pain!!!!!!!!!
I’d have to say Moto Chaser was a wasted $10.
I don’t even recall the name of the app — it was free, and was supposed to be an interesting game, but it had no directions, and after playing for about a minute it would freeze up. I deleted it, and haven’t thought about it since.
With my luck, it was probably scraping my address book and sending it off someplace….
Action Item
Booyah!
it had $4.5 million from the iFund financing, was developed by folks at Blizzard, and was released to huge expectation.
it was kinda boring. i deleted it from my iPhone after 5 minutes.
Probably Asphalt, if only because Rela Racing came out shortly after and blew it away in terms of quality. I’ve been pretty good at only buying apps I want though.
Dog Whistler
rogue touch, the controls/responsiveness was bad for me and my first gen touch
Harry Potter: Spells was really disappointing.
at&t’s mark the spot app
C&C Red Alert – its boring!
How about Pepsi’s Before Your Score.
Oregon Trail
I haven’t bought a disappointing app
Sims 3 because it runs so slowly on my iPod touch 1G! I haven’t downloaded any other games ever since
VT Mobile Trader. Needs work, bad.
SpaceMonkey
“I am rich” was a disappointment. The real bummer was buying it again to put on my wife’s phone before Apple started letting us share apps. I was also a beta tester for an app that used the accelerometer to measure the intensity of a hammer-strike. That one was pure let-down as well.
Vector Blaster was supposed to be like Tempest but it did not deliver.
Pepsi’s Before You Score…scary
Oh this one’s easy. Has to be Vimeo for iPhone. Think never worked and was the biggest waste of 2 bucks ever.
Most disappointing was Craigsphone.
I think it was called “dots”. It didn’t make any sense.
Crossword Blitz
I was hoping for more from the flickr app.
Sounds Grenage
super monkey ball
My most disappointing app: Dark Raider 3GS.
My most disappointing app was The Price is Right, i like the show so i thought the game would be decent, its ok, but i don’t think worth the money i paid for it.
Paypal
Flickr app I was hoping for a lot more from it.
Myst. Sorry, but the near random tapping to interact isn’t my style. It’s like a Microsoft game.
Bing
Tiger Woods. I prefer Let’s Golf.
Day two and here’s wishing!
Doodle Golf
