Macenstein’s “Mac Chick of the Month” (January 2010): Alena Savostikova
Welcome to Macenstein‘s “Mac Chick of the Month”. Each month we feature a different die-hard, Mac-loving girl who is (almost) as well designed as the Apple products they love. This month we present you with the lovely Alena Savostikova, a Russian model who just happens to also be a die-hard Mac Chick! (oh, and January is also her birthday month, so everyone say Happy Birthday).
Originally from Russia, Alena Savostikova was born in a little city called Kaliningrad. Alena spent her early years in Moscow and other parts of Europe, eventually making her way to the United States in the late 90’s with dreams of becoming a professional tennis player. Although, due to injuries, tennis didn’t work out, Alena stayed in the states to go to school.
Alena has been modeling since she was two, but became a professional model only three years ago. Since then she’s traveled the world, working in such cities as Brussels, Milan, Los Angeles, Miami etc. Currently she is living in Florida, but is planning on moving to California within the next six month in hopes of transitioning into acting and attending UCLA.
“I got my first Mac in high school and I fell in love,” says Alena. “It was love at first sight and I haven’t cheated on it since.”
“The reason I love mac is because they are so convenient and easy to use. I also love their designs, it’s impossible to confuse it with anything else. Once you go Mac, you don’t go back. 🙂 ”

Favorite Apple Gear: itouch
CAN’T PEOPLE STOP FUCKING CALLING THE iPod touch ‘iTouch’ it’s fucking ridiculous.
And personally I don’t get who started it in the first place…
Example:
There is the iPod nano… if you wanna keep it short you just call it nano… same goes with the shuffle…etc etc… no one… would EVER say ‘I got an iNano’. So why do they do so with the touch aka iPod touch ?!…

On the iTouch thing… it really doesn’t bother me. I actually think it shows her to be more familiar with the geek world in general. I find people who know nothing about iPods, like my mother in law, parents, etc., all call the iPod Touch “The iPod Touch”. I’ve only hear young-ish people and tech people call it an iTouch, and it doesn’t bother me. Kids these days abbreviate everything, because they are so busy playing video games and texting and checking facebook to type out 2 words. et used to it.
She could call it a f-ing zune for all I care. She is gorgeous!

Yes, H O T… Also, cut the girl some slack. I hear tons of people call it the iTouch. Quite frankly, Apple was stupid not to name it that. I hate having to explain that I have an iPod, “…but it’s the Touch version, you know like the iPhone, so I’m cool…”

The G5 only had one drive bay while the Mac Pro has (had) 2.

You are right…kinda. This is not a Mac Pro because of the size of the apple logo on the side, not cuz it has less HDs….How could you even tell that from the outside??? MacPros have space for 4 HDs and 2 DVD drives.
The G5 has the huge Apple logo on the side – the MacPros logo is much smaller. I would know – I have one.

The G5 was mine. And so was the iPhone. But the laptop was hers. She’s definitely a mac girl. And she’s absolutely a beautiful and SWEET girl.
