“The 12 Days AFTER Christmas” Giveaway: Day 24 – Belkin TuneBase Direct with Hands-Free
This contest is closed. Congrats to faithful Macenstein reader Leif.
On the Twenty-Fourth Day After Christmas, Macenstein gave to you (or, more accurately, gave you a chance to win…) The Belkin TuneBase Direct with Hands-Free!

Sure we all love our iPhones, but who likes crashing our cars and dying while using them? Not me, that’s for sure. That’s why I’m pretty jealous of whoever wins this Belkin TuneBase Direct with Hands-Free.
Talk Hands-Free and Listen to Your Playlist—Without Missing A Beat
Listen to your iPod or iPhone music and talk hands-free through your car stereo system. TuneBase Direct connects directly through your car stereo’s auxiliary input jack (3.5mm cable included), so you get the best possible sound for your playlist and your calls.
Make and receive calls with the push of a button. If your iPhone is playing music when a call comes in, the music automatically fades out. You’ll hear the caller’s voice on speakerphone loud and clear through your car’s stereo speakers.
Swivel It
The innovative cradle holds your device securely while you drive and swivels horizontally for easy viewing of your device’s GPS features, like turn-by-turn directions. It also makes it easier for passengers to watch videos.A Perfect Fit
The unique cradle easily adjusts to fit most iPods and iPhones—even with a case on.
Arrive Fully Charged
TuneBase Direct charges your device through your car’s 12-volt lighter outlet, so you can listen or talk without interruption—even on the longest road trip. An additional USB port even allows you to charge a second device while you drive
To enter: Speaking of dying while driving, I’m curious just how negligent my readers are. So to that end, leave me a comment telling me Do you ever text while driving? Winner will be picked randomly 7 days later and notified (kind of like in The Ring, only with less killing… we hope). Open to all readers world-wide. Good luck, and thanks for reading Macenstein! (Oh, and be sure to enter ALL our “12 Days AFTER Christmas” Giveaways!)
Please note: Comments may take a while to show up, please do not double-post. Thanks!
sometimes, but I’m the only one telling the truth
Yep, but only at traffic lights.
i most certainly do
text & tweet
Occasionally. I know…. I’m terrible.
Only at a stop lights and thats if I really need to send a message.
I admit it. I do it.
Hell yeah. When I receive one of those must reply texts. Sometimes I pullover though
Not anymore. I used to but it’s a little more difficult with the iPhone.
nope.
Only while I’m at a signal light.
text at stops but never while driving
Do you ever text while driving?
NO. Never.
only whilst stopped in traffic
Most definately.
texting? No, but I do browse& email….
No!
Only at red lights.
Ha Ha! I’ve text while driving and I’ve driven naked too!
Text, yes. Email, yes… Facebook, yes… should I, no. Do I? Yes.
I don’t text while driving. Sometimes in the bus but that happens rarely 😀
not anymore since i have my iphone – didnt find the letters! but with my old samsung i texted while driving, cause of the feedback from the physical keypad.
Umm … Umm… Umm… No
I occasionally text while behind the wheel; given how traffic is, I wouldn’t exactly call it “driving.”
… yes, I’m bad. I’m trying to stop.
Never
I am not proud to say that I have done it!
Sometimes at stoplights, but never if I’m trying to put on my makeup at the same time.
I have never… I love my car too much to crash it like that…
No. I would just call the person back if it’s important.
Never.
Yes, I’ve been guilty a time or two. I really need to stop…
can hardly text while not driving, so yes, once or twice.
Nope, I never text while I’m driving.
No, I drive while texting.
I don’t text but I do regularly check email.
Sounds like nobody here really needs this then…I have to confess, Cops are the worst when it comes to multi-tasking while driving. There are so many things we have to pay attention to while driving it isn’t even funny. Theres the radio(cb), looking for thugs, phone calls from Supervisors, lights, sirens, video camera, a full on Laptop that we get our calls in on, maps to figure out where we are going(now GPS but it does go down at times) the “Good Times” radio and we can’t forget that Dbl Cheeseburger on busy nights. I try to limit the things I have to pay attention to but the nature of the job and the urgency of some calls force you to do things on the go. The funny thing is that they keep passing laws against distracted driving but the department keeps adding things we have to pay attention to in the cars. Something like this would be a very nice addition while adding to public safety Doc.
I don’t do text, but I always IM while driving 😀
I did a time or two but I didn’t inhale….
I text only at stop lights.
Wait, you’re not a cop, right? Is this admissible in a court of law. (Okay, I do, but don’t tell anybody.)
nope. i don’t even accept/make calls while driving, unless it’s from/to my wife.
I am ashamed to admit it but yes I have done and probably will do so again in the future…
I never text, period! I even turned it off.
yes i have…at stop lights
at stop lights
I did it sometimes … but on the iPhone it’s kinda strange 😛
NEVER THAT! that is so stupid, talking on the phone is distracting enough but texting is just retarded
I definitely text and drive, but how negligent am I? I’ve studied for exams with flash cards (before I had my iPhone of course), read for class, surfed the web because my drive home was ridiculously long, eaten meals, watched videos …what can I say, I’ve grown up in Memphis traffic.
Yes I text and drive but I am able to keep my eyes on the road and type without looking… its called the co-pilot (girlfriend). That is her job when she is in the car.
oh yea. i text and drive a highly unsafe amount.
