Wacom Bamboo Fun Pen and Touch tablet

Bamboo Fun lets you get hands-on with your creative projects, combining the benefits of Multi-Touch with the comfort and precision of Wacom’s ergonomically-designed pen.

With Multi-Touch, you can navigate, scroll, and work with simple hand gestures. With the tablet’s large touch area, you have more room to navigate than you do with other touch devices like computer trackpads and mobile phones.

Bamboo Fun works with your existing computer: desktop or laptop, PC or Mac. Attach it to a standard USB port and set it comfortably by your keyboard. You can even customize your Bamboo Fun experience by assigning your own shortcuts to the four ExpressKeys™.

Available in a stylish silver color, Bamboo Fun will complement your current setup. And it includes valuable additions that make it ideal for your creative projects.

  1. Colin says:

I think it’s perfect for so many people…like my wife. So yeah, we’ll grab one eventually.

  2. Jon says:

I think it’s great, and will likely be getting my hands on one. At first blush it looks like something that will really encourage things like comics and event graphic-heavy technical books to move to a more ‘e’ friendly model.

  3. Benjamin says:

I would take one, if they build in a USB-Port or Card-Reader. That would be awesome to watch fresh taken pics.

  4. Matt says:

Forget e-books. I want mine with (hopfully an iPad vesion of) Reeder app for my RSS feeds. Now that’s my version of a newspaper!

  5. JEK says:

It’s greater than we can imagine – I will buy 2 of them.
One for my parent who reallly don’t understand anything about computers and so desperately want to be a part of their grandchildren´s lives, and one for my family to enjoy in the tv room (tv remote, dictionary, game device, e-mail centre etc…).

It’s going to be great to get rid of the macbook pro in the tv sofa…

  6. saud says:

hope to get one by the end of the year.

  7. Nomis says:

It’s a good product, i thinks but don’t know if i will buy one …

  8. Paul says:

No. I might consider it, if my area had 3G, but living in bumfukt egypt, we’ll never see that shit. So, my iphonizzle is all I need. At home, I have no problem firing up my 17# MBP. Maybe, just maybe, after 2 or 3 iterations of the iPad, then, maybe. I’d rather get a netbook and Hackintosh it.

  9. fractured says:

I won’t buy one until iPad is a Tablet MacBook Pro, with all the connectivity and power I need. I cannot do without Firewire and an Expresscard slot. I may get my work to buy a couple as we currently use iPod Touches for communication and meeting planning.

  10. Steve Bernier says:

The iPad will revolutionnise the publishing industry at the equivalent of the revolution the iPod created for music.

I’m waiting for Apple to send me THE e-mail telling me they can get pre-orders !

  11. Robert says:

The iPad is cool, but I do agree with others that Apple could have made it better. I may get one with my tax return.

  12. Wiseguy says:

I think it would be cool to have one, but I don’t have a particular need or use for one at this time. If I buy one, it might be for development.

  13. Carrie says:

I like it, but I think I’m going to save my pennies for a MacBook Pro instead.

  14. Andrew Madson says:

I go back and fourth on buying one. As of right now I am planning on waiting for the 2nd or 3rd generation.

  15. Chris H says:

It looks like it will be useful and will be able to fill a small niche. I’ll probably get one, though I would like to play around with one before, just so I know what I’m getting.

  16. Matthew says:

Maybe after the 2nd hardware update…

  17. Tobias says:

Having a MBP and a iPhone, I don’t see the point in buying an iPad.

  18. Bill says:

This is going to be the next big thing. The iPad has the potential, and it will be the product that starts the next computer era. In a year from now people will be saying a netbook, what’s a netbook. Apple and the Developers can make the iPad into anything they want it to be.

  19. Nicholas says:

It’s not too great. I’d get a Modbook before I got an iPad.

  20. Jon says:

My initial reaction was a little disappointed, however that has evolved into a very impressed and optimistic view of what is surely to become a new icon and revolution in devices. Yes, I’ll be getting one for sure, probably more for my wife right now. Just not sure on which model I want. Of course, I NEED the top model with 3G, but not sure what I want . . . . wait, reverse that . . . . maybe 🙂

  21. theo says:

i’ll wait for the 2nd generation before deciding, i really think they missed the sweet spot on this one. If I wanted an ipod touch, i’d buy a normal sized one. They really needed to have that thing running OSX … it should have been a screen-only Macbook with a couple of REAL ports on it like USB, not just that dock port.

It shows promise, but too limited IMO.

  22. Paulius says:

    Nice. But I don’t need it 🙂

  23. mestre says:

I’m still waiting for the camera-equipped iPod Touch before I buy, and then I need to get a new laptop – by which point my main work machine will need upgrading. As the iPad can’t replace any of these it will have to live at the bottom of my list – probably forever.

  24. Greg says:

I have an iphone and ipod touch, so no, I won’t be buying an iPad.

  25. Matt says:

Ipad is ok. Still on the fence as to if I’m getting one. Want to play with one first.

  26. Patrick says:

Not the revolution I was waiting for, iChat? USB in? I would love to be able to use this for events in the AV industry, but without the ability to get anyone’s content on it on site and quickly edit it to put it up on a projector it falls short of what I was hoping.
What will save it is iWork, (and any other cool apps that will crop up.

Maybe next time, new MBP first I think

  27. Annie says:

Loves it! Iphone is my way of life, and the touch screen might save me from carpal tunnel. Can’t wait to ditch the mouse and wires. Absolute winner.

  28. GlowingApple says:

I’d get one only if it were running a full version of OS X … or maybe once it’s been jailbroken.

  29. Chuck says:

    Yes. I will get one.

  30. Jonro says:

I’ll probably buy an iPad when it has a built-in camera that I can use for videoconferencing and when I can use it to stream movies from Netflix.

  31. Donn says:

Want one. The potential within education is very exciting.

  32. Albert says:

hell yes – it’s going to be fun to use, and probably quite useful, but I’m intrigued with what new apps are going to be developed to make use of all the additional screen space.

  33. James Massey says:

I will. But it ill be for my wife. Honest!

  34. Jacob C says:

I think that the iPad is awesome, what it does is not revolutionary, how it does it is.

  35. joey says:

i like the design of everything except for the os, get me osX on there and im down for one

  36. JorgeLuisBorges says:

The price is right; iPad is definitely on my list of want-to-haves.

  37. Steven Thompson says:

love it, but I need to svae up first 🙁 which is too bad, this is the first apple launch I wanted to go to at a store.

  38. Connor says:

Like it alot, but will wait ’till revb

  39. WAH says:

    I will definitely get one. A 16GB 3G.
I don’t know if this is the next step, but I want to find out.

  40. harpoon says:

it looks like sheer greatness. Paradigm shift.

  41. Harneet Kalra says:

Yeah, if I get at least a ninety on my final sem exams. Yes, I’m hopeful.

  42. Torrance says:

“Meh” with a hint of “Ooo”.

  43. crommatrixx says:

probably will wait for a later version with upgrades maybe including multi-tasking and a camera

  44. keloide says:

when with camera and ichat and skype video

  45. sfmitch says:

I will be buying an iPad.

  46. David says:

I would like to buy one, but I’ll probably wait until the 2nd generation. Maybe.

  47. I’m pretty sold on the iPad waiting till what the UK price is but looks damn sweet.

  48. Joe says:

I will buy one on day one, just like the iphone. It will do wonders when I am at a clients showing them photos.

  49. Ben Tattersley says:

The lack of flash is the selling point for me. im definitely going to get one

  50. Eric M. says:

If I had some extra cash to burn, I’d be all over the 64GB model. Maybe next year…
