Macenstein’s “Mac Chick of the Month” (April 2010): Jessica Vaugn
Welcome to Macenstein‘s “Mac Chick of the Month”. Each month we feature a different die-hard, Mac-loving girl who is (almost) as well designed as the Apple products they love. This month we present you with the lovely Jessica Vaugn, a full time student and model just two weeks away from graduating! And of course, a die hard Mac Chick!
Jessica has been juggling her time between being a student and modeling for the past 3 years. “I know the importance of getting a degree but I love modeling as well. It’s hard to find a balance between the two but I make it work!”
Jessica used Macs in school and began her love affair with Apple. “I begged my parents to buy me an iMac when I was 12 and they did. It was teal and I covered it with stickers!”
Her latest addition is her Macbook Pro. “I don’t go anywhere without my Macbook,” she says. “It is in my lap each night with me in bed. Don’t know what I’d do without it.”
Jessica also loves her iPhone. “I’m a text message junkie! I feel naked without my iPhone in my hands!” Not that she minds being naked but she does mind being without her phone!

When Jessica is not traveling the country as an underwear model or hitting the books she loves to watch movies. “I’m still waiting for someone to make a Wonder Woman movie,” she explains. “She was always my favorite super hero. A couple of years ago I saw a model body-painted to look like Wonder Woman on the cover of Playboy. I’ve wanted to do a photo shoot dressed as Wonder Woman ever since! Maybe if I do I can get Macenstein to publish it for their readers! ;)”
Jessica graduates with a degree in Psychology this summer. After that she’s moving to a major city to further pursue her modeling ambition before starting her Master’s Degree.

Not that I’m complaining, but when did a pyschology major ever need a friggin’ Mac Pro? Here I am eeking out photo awesomeness, 3d models, video encodes, media service, and music mastery on a clunky old PowerBook G4, and she has a MacPro to type her papers on. Color me jealous.
