“Yeah, good luck with that”
Upon news that Ron Johnson, Apple’s current President of retail, is leaving Apple to head up JC Penny, Apple released the following statement, stopping just short of saying “Ron’s dead to us”:
“Ron is excited about this opportunity and we hope it goes well for him. We’ve got a great retail team in place and are actively recruiting for his replacement.”
Wow. Someone should warn Tim Cook to not bother listing Steve Jobs for a job reference. Although, in Apple’s defense, maybe they had just gotten sick of Ron’s constant arm flailing.
I do believe arm flailing is a prerequisite in order to be an Apple employee…unless you do not have arms…
He can’t be doing it for the money. He’s already made over $50 M selling Apple stock. I guess he wants a new challenge, and he certainly has one. Looks like he won’t be the first one on his block with a new iPhone anymore.
