THANK YOU WE HAVE OUR WINNER! CONGRATS TO FAITHFUL MACENSTEIN READER MICHAEL. THIS CONTEST IS NOW CLOSED.

To Enter: Speaking of alien pods (and since I just watched “The Thing” last night) to enter simply leave us a comment below telling us, What is the Coolest Alien in the history of Sci-Fi? The obvious choice is Admiral Ackbar, but we’ll entertain other suggestions. (Your answer has no effect on your chance of winning, nor does buying me something from my birthday list).
Contest open to US and UK readers only. Contest ends Sunday, March 4th at 11:59PM. Good luck!
CHEWBACA!
The Predator!
Yoda
Alf
Lieutenant Worf (the klingon in Star Trek TNG)
Yoda!
If pressed, I’d give the distinction of coolest to the xenomorph from Alien for its ability to wreck havoc on humanity, but Jar Jar Binks deserves an honorable mention for destroying the Star Wars franchise (which is just as bad as what the xenomorph did).
Shit, I’m french…
Spock.
The Borg, which is admittedly an ironic choice given how Apple computers are so nice and slick, whereas the Borg are anything but.
That would have to be Worf.
species
Worf
Predator
The giant cockroach guy from MIB.
The Queen from Aliens.
Max (from “Flight of the Navigator”)!
“Hey, blimpo… too many Twinkies!”
-Max
Mork from Ork… The coolest alien from the grooviest alien egg pod in history!
¡NANU-NANU!
Data
The Blob is the coolest because it got put in a freezer!
Dr. Who
ALF
Lord Helmet from Spaceballs…
Mmmmmm, 7 of 9.
Pierson’s Puppeteers
Barf from space balls!
Howard the Duck!
Doctor Who is clearly the coolest alien, as long as bow ties are still cool.
The Martians from, Fredric Browns 1955 book, Martians, Go Home.
The alien from Predator
I’m torn between the great alien gift givers: A.L.F. (cat sandwiches), Klaatu (peace) or my wife (supper). If I must decide, let it be ALF.
Lt. M’Ress, Caitian; from STAR TREK: The Animated Series. 🙂
Gotta go with the original Predator
Yoda!
Roger from American Dad! FTW!!!!!!!!!!
The original Klaatu played by Michael Rennie
The aliens from the movie Contact that refused to show themselves because it would freak us out too much.
formics from ender’s game universe.
Aeryn Sun from Farscape. Both cool and hot!
Zeratul from StarCraft, absolutely badass 😉
Apparently it’s Admiral Ackbar. 🙂
Without a second thought, ET
Dr Who
E T!
Predator!
zaphod beeblebrox
I think I’d have to go with the screamers aliens from Screamers. But are they really aliens? They’re at least robots that have gained sentience, but they were originally built by humans. Of course, not unlike Gort from The Day The Earth Stood Still (the original not the Reeves remake).
Spock!!
The first “cool” alien I discovered, was, of course, Mr. Spock. Another, newer fascinating alien is the Navigator from “Farscape”; sometimes its ‘acting’ eclipses those of its human counterparts 🙂
Kim Basinger in “My Stepmother is an Alien” is my pick!
