I’ve got two with chrome and scorch trying to get a ruby
I got mine today with snow and swamp both lvl 10 in that order, i got it on accident while trying for a gem dragon 4th or 3rd try
Had been trying consistently since the leap year came back and I finally gave up to try for my second apocalypse dragon with cactus and mine and finally secured one!
P.S. When I was trying to get the leap year I was using the combos listed above with zero success. For me and many others, cactus and mine seems to be a more successful combo,maybe you could list it Mac?
I just got my second Leap using lvl 8 fog/obsidion in the EBS trying to get a Panlong!!

I kept trying to get the leap year dragon for ages, I even breed a love dragon just so I could use panlong and love dragon to get one but I only kept getting panlong dragons and other dragons that take forever to breed, but then I breed crystal and blue fire together in the normal breeding cave and I got it first try, thank god!
I got it breeding a blazing and mud along with a rainbow trying to breed a pandorm (I think that’s it’s name it’s the one that can only be done in 2012) a few minutes ago

Agh what did I get I breed blazing lvl10 and swamp lvl 10 and got only 14 hours in normal cave what is it?!!!!!
It could be any of these – 14 hours: Mountian, Steel, Tree, Smoke. The doc has this info published in the main landing page. Click on the link that reads “List of DragonVale dragon incubation and Breeding Times”.
I got a smoke dragon how does that work!!!
Both of the elements were there for smoke (air and fire). When you breed you can get any combination of the elements bred as an outcome, even if both elements come from only one breeding dragon (in this case the blazing). Good luck!

Been doing that blaze and swamp combo…its all over the place…:(
Just tried snow and swamp and got 48 hrs. Any ideas on what dragon it is ?

How long does it take for it in a excels rated cave/island?
The calc for the upgraded breeding areas is EASY!!
Take the actual incubation time and multiply it by .8
The nuber you get is the “upgraded” breeding time!!
But the time it takes to hatch is the “normal” time

I’vw tired so many of these combos and nothing seems to be working for me! :'( this is the last day to breed one before it disappears for another four years. 🙁 🙁 🙁 🙁 i dont want to wait four years before i get this dragon!!! ANY SOLUTIONS????? is there a specific time for all the breedings?? i’m trying for sun and moon as well but no luck! 🙁 🙁 🙁 🙁 🙁 🙁 🙁 please i need a solution quick! i’m running out of money speeding up things for nothing. blazing and swamp kept giving me smoke dragons.
it wont be another 4 years until it come back, they may do another “bring them all back” at the end of the year again.
ive been trying for ages too (ive been selling my doubles and triples, loads of money hehe) luckly theve extended the times, not sure how long tho, use an upgraded breeding cave, or the ebi. youre more likely to get rarer dragons using them.

I got it with crystal and lichen (that order) in the ebi level 10 both and got 2. I think that combo is good cause I got an emerald also and a solstice so try that it works like a charm for me!

I got it Flower/Fog on first try when I was trying to get a Seasonal Dragon.
I still have problems with this dragon but some dragons are harder to get then others >< if i would try Rainbow + Rainbow would they make just another Rainbow? Or is there a chance for leap year?

Seaweed and firefly works the best btw, and no, u just have to be level 14 and have a seaweed and firefly dragon that can breed. I got mine in about 15 tries. Hope this helped
for breeding cave : dodo and iceberg = Leap Year !!!
im using lechen and magnetic and its going to take 38 hrs butwith my verry messed up logic i think it may be the leap year 🙂

I got it with blazing and mud trying to get another panlong dragon. Oh, and try blazing+water, that’s how I got my equinox.
I got a leap year dragon with lichen and magnetic when trying to get an apocalypse dragon. Before that i got a sun and blue moon.

I have been trying to get a leap year all the time since the bring m’ back event and I can’t get it I have gotten many other rare dragons but the two that seem to avoid me are regular moon dragons( I say regular because I have a blue moon) and the leap year. I am sick of getting rainbows, I have tried all of your combinations and then some many times, if you have any more ideas to help me, please respond to my comment. Oh and by the way can you accept my friend request, I will send you gems could you please send me some back I am really broke from speeding up my breeding, actually anybody can send me a request so I can get more gems. Doc please accept my request I mostly wanna see what your park looks like, and please share the secret to Dragonvale with me.
Mud and blazing is awesome now have 5 leap year dragons after you get two just breed them to defiantly get one

After so many failed attemps trying to get the leap year i finally scored one with mud and blazing. Im not sure if it’s just my luck (which is pretty bad) or if the combos i tried were wrong.I tried every single combo even from the comments but on my first try i got it with mud lvl10 on left and blazing lvl10 on right on the epic breeding island. I think I got a leap year dragon by breeding an evergreen dragon with a panlong dragon. Try it if you have it because there are tons of results ( including seasonal,apocalypse,garnet,ect.)
