Question: I was able to breed the leap year at the last minute during the time all of the dragons were available. I’d still like to have the egg for display so I wanted to breed it with something that might result in another leap year. None of the dragons I have are available to breed with him. He’s not a gem dragon… What, if any dragons can leap year be bred with?
you can breed him with Rainbow. I’ve gotten a Leap Year from that pairing I think.

OMGi want this dragon sooooo bad but… sadly i coudlt get it with the BEB…:( but Doc, do u knwo when it will come back??? i hope there is another BEB soon or i will kill myself. i got my bloom in the BEB and the rest of the time i tried for ruby… i should’ve tried for leap year ti’s so AWESOME ugh im so stupid:(
This is just my speculation, but it says over the rainbow and over the moon, so it might mean one dragon above the moon dragon (firefly) and one dragon above the rainbow (quake) and that may work. I’m not really sire and never tried it, but if anyone still cares when its available again, try that. Sorry if you guys thinknim just over speculating, but who knows….

I just found this page and I have to say, in February I got two leap year dragons in a row with Gift + Air. No breeding again and again until I got it, either.

I got Leap Year Dragon with Tree Blue Fire. I was trying to get Paper but got Leap Year.

Well was trying for Paper with Mountain x Poison during the current Christmas event but got Leap Year. Didn’t have Leap yet so won’t complain too much. 🙂

I got Leap Year unexpectedly today, using the Cactus and Mine dragons.
Got mine with frost fire and ash
With this new thing (all limited are back!) I bred Blue Fire and Crystal got 40 hours… Any ideas on what it might be?
I know have two. 1st crystal and frost fire and 2 d with poison and mountain. All ebi. All level 15. Am trying hard for paper and pan long. If anyone has tips for those please post. The 40 hr dragon is sun or moon depending on if it was day or night when u bred them.
I was trying to get the cotton dragon so i took:
Flower level 11 + quake level 11
So by accident i got leap year! And it was my first try in the normal breeding cave. Hope this was helping 😉
I just got the 14.5 hour time for Leap Year by accident with Obsidian & Rain while trying for Panlong. 🙂
I got it with quake and snow in that order and both level 14
Got a Leap Year while trying for an Apocalypse, with a Cactus and Mine. Certainly a great consolation prize!
I got it about 6th try with frost fire and ash, I also got a jet and sun dragon with that combo!
You can also breed the Leap Year Dragon with a Love dragon and Air. I have bred this pair 4 times in a row for the BEB and each tine I get that beautiful golden egg of the Leap Year. I was just fooling around when I bred the pair but now I am glad that I did.
The breeding was done in a normal breeding cave with an Air and a Love Dragon to get the Leap Year Dragon

How long did it take with flower and mud in regular breeding cave? I have gotten rainbow with the pairing but not leap year…

I just got a leap year using Blue fire and tree! I am so excited!
Kind of funny because I was trying to breed leap yr with mud/flower, snd was trying to get apocalypse dragon with lichen and magnetic… I ended up getting leap yr with lichen and magnetic on the 2cnd try…
BTW a guy on the Celtic page said he has gotten 11 leap years breeding flower and storm trying to get a Celtic.

I think any Panlong combination works. I’ve gotten 2 of these in BC and EBI. Both used Panlong combinations.

Does it work during the bring em back if I breed two rainbow dragons? Also, can I get a Celtic from this? just one more question- I bred two rainbows and got a Hypnotic! Is it possible or is it a bug/glitch?
Since they brought them back I breed flower and mountain and got 14:30:00 is it the leap year dragon?
I was trying for a Paper dragon, I believe, and got two using lichen and lava, both lvl 15; on another retry, got leap year dragon! Not sure if re-release of all dragons created a different breeding option for this egg, but I got it! XD

Guess what it is the leap year dragon. Finally I have a rainbow dragon.
mud lvl 12 + snow lvl 12.. there are other combi aside from stated above
