I used storm and scorch to try for a moon dragon, but got a sun dragon instead. I am still very happy so thanks for the info.
I think the time of breed, is Very important.. Would be cool we know, the exactly hour.
Yeah, I agree with ya dude. I bred crystal/lichen at 6:30 am, but it says that the breeding will take 1 day… So I think it will be a crystal dragon :'(

I did too hun. After reading this post I used ur combo and… BOOM! I have a sun dragon! So now I’m gonna keep trying for a moon… I sooo wish I could get both for a chance at the eclipse, but…well, u know how that goes, lol… All good! Thanks to you for ur combo, it worked like a charm!!!
You don’t need moon to get eclipse…I have 2 eclipse(use blazing with bone or lava) and I have been trying for moon forever!

Try ice and lightning both lvl 10. I don’t know if its a moon or sun dragon it’s breeding, but its say 2 days.

If you get one from a specific combo, do the same combo again if the others don’t work. 2 is the magic # just breed 2 moons together and pop! There’s your moon I got another 2 moon dragon by doing that! 🙂

Hey I only get blue moon dragons (full moon) I cannot get regular moon dragon! I didn’t think it was possible to still get blue moon dragons

To get a moon make sure you start the breeding after 7pm!
Too funny, 7 pm your time, or my time, or game time…. How does time matter when people play this all over the world from different time zones?? The game maker does not differentiate between times zones for each and every location…
It is simple randomness and luck that determines the resultant dragon… You need particular combinations but the outcome is NOT determined by the time you try….
Sorry to burst your bubble Dee, but the “special circumstances” in the description that it requires to be bred is proof that you have to breed it after 7 pm. I believe one of the reasons the game requires Internet is because it tracks location, therefore tracking a time zone. It’s breed able between 7 pm and 7 am your time, and likewise, sun is breedable between 7 am and 7 pm your time.
So yeah, the gamemaker DOES differentiate time zones for each location. This dragon is the only that requires special conditions though.

Guys got 48 hrs from bone and rain
Dragonvale won’t let me breed opposites. For example; when I tried to breed a blue fire dragon (Cold and Fire), I’d tapped my Cold Dragon, but my Fire Dragon was shaded. When I tapped on it, the screen read: “Sorry. This dragon is incompatible.”. This happened again when I tried to breed an Ironwood Dragon (Metal and Plant). Any tips?

You need to throw in a hybrid, like Fire and Snow instead of Fire and Cold.

Cool! I think it worked! I put Fire then Snow (both level 10) on my Island, ant it says 12 hours! It’s either a Snow, Blue Fire or Frostfire

How did u get blue fire
Breed a Fire Dragon with a Storm Dragon. The resulting eggs with either incubate for 3 hours (with Scorch and Firefly Dragons as outcome), 5 hours (for a Storm Dragon) or 12 hours for a Blue Fire Dragon. This way, your waiting time between failed breeding attempts is minimized to 3-5 hours

Breed it after midnight, I bred mine at 1 am.
I just bred a lvl 10 blue fire (left) and lvl 10 crystal (right) on epic breeding island, and I got 48 hours! It’s 1:18 am and I was trying for the moon (first try too!) I hope I get one!
Update: I used gems to speed it up and it was a moon dragon! 🙂
How do you get blue fire. Some of these combos don’t work. I’ve tried so many times.
I used lvl 10 fire with lvl 10 ice on ebi, either lvl 9 or 10 for both. I can’t remember which was first, so you should try either. I was really happy to finally get one 🙂
Awesome! A few months ago I was trying to get this dragon but then gave up. So I left it for those few months, tried for it and failed then tried again ang it’s still in my EBU now!
(The combo I used is Level 10 Crystal on the left and Level 10 Blue Fire on the right).

I know it’s the first one, but blue fire and crystal worked for me first try! Try it on ebi, and its good to have gems handy so you can speed up the times when you don’t get it. Level 10 works best. Hope this helps<3

Anyone know if you can breed a lunar eclipse and a sun dragon to get a moon?
I just breed a Air and a Storm and i got 48hrs. Was trying for a lunar, idk what I expected with this combo but Atleast I got something worthwhile. Any ideas what it might be?

I’ve gotten 3 sun dragons with crystal and blue fire so I think it has to do with what time you do it because the latest time i breed them is at 7pm so i would guess it would have to be later.

Yes!! I just got a moon dragon from breading storm and scorch. Its just after 8 pm here. Two days ago I bread a sun dragon with the same pairing, but I made the selection in the morning.
For me, crystal and lichen has been the most effective combo. Got both a sun and a moon dragon from breeding these two in a regular breeding cave. I got the sun dragon on the first go and the moon dragon on the 5th go. It appears that the time of day when you breed these dragons effects which one you will get ie, between 7am and 7pm you will get a sun, and any time after 7 you will get a moon

I’ve been trying with crystal and blue fire and none has worked! But I keep getting blue moon for some strange reason! I’ve gotten 4 in about an hour! By speeding up. I’m now trying storm and scorch. And crystal and lichen. Hopefully it works! But my main focus is rainbow, sun and moon which don’t seem to be giving me any luck! 🙁
