I bred blazing and swamp and got 14 hours and i cant come with any thing it could be
14 hours is a Smoke Dragon.
or a mountain but in this case it’s definitely a smoke dragon since mountain has the elements earth and cold and neither blazing nor swamp have any of those elements.
Ummm whats the red egg with a white windy thing for 14 hours blazing and lava not a smoke?

I bred crystal and lichen first try
I got my first rainbow with crystal and bluefire, although it took me a lot of tries. My second I got with Blazing and Mud (level 10+ on upgraded bc), while trying for a second panlong. After that I got two more rainbows within a couple of days with the same combo! One time on EBS and one on upgraded bc. So this combo (blazing+mud) might be a good suggestion to try as well. And besides, the added value is you might just get a panlong before a rainbow 🙂 Keep trying and good luck, all rare dragons require patience or gems. My advice is to decide to go for one combination and stick to that. Eventually you will get it. Thanks doc for a great site btw! 🙂
I just bred a Bone and Ash and got a 48hr breeding time….. I’ve been trying for a rainbow for over a year, think this is it?

I think I got it too. I used crystal and lichen in an epic breeding isle and got 48 hrs. Gosh!!! 2 days to find out what, and 2 more just to get it!!!!! Jeez Louise!!
If you bred it between 7am-7pm where you are, it’s either a sun or a rainbow. Grats 🙂

You can breed it with a level12 sun and a level 12 moon
U can get 12 sun and 12 moon…?

Yay finally got an rainbow dragon! Using crystal and linchen! It has taken me approx 6 months and a number of times but yay I have it! Whoop whoop!
I got rainbow by accident trying to breed a lunar eclipse (earth and snow). I saw the 48 hour time and thought I had gotten it but it turned out to be a rainbow =D I got another 48 hour so hopefully this time it’s actual the lunar.
Theoretically you cannot get a rainbow from earth/snow combo.
I thought not either, hence why it was such a surprise, but I suppose you can. On a side note my second 48hr did in fact turn out to be the lunar.

I’m trying for a panlong on both my normal cave and in my EBS, and i just got 48h breeding time in BOTH… meaning that now I’m on my fourth rainbow compared to only one panlong :/ Honestly I thought rainbows were the rarest but in my case Rainbow is all I seem to be getting -.-
My EBS was with Rain and Lava, and my normal breeding cave was with Mud and Blazing.
I put a seaweed and firefly together and got a 48 hour what could it be??
Got mine with chrome and scorch.

Bred my second rainbow in the cave last night using lvl 10 Brass x lvl 10 Swamp, trying for gold. Can’t say I’m disappointed too much though. Gonna keep it so I can breed one whenever I want 🙂

I’ve bred 3 rainbows with different combos, all on accident. My mom is so jealous of me haha.
1st combo: Rain x Scoria (lvl 10s, ebi)
2nd combo: Brass x Swamp (lvl 10s, cave, trying for gold)
3rd combo: Scoria x blue fire (lvl 10s, cave)
Scoria is definitely my favorite dragon, I write down all of my breeding combos that worked and she shows up a lot.

I got rainbow while breeding chrome and scorch, which was your claimed combination for gold dragons. I’m confused now…
You have a chance of breeding a rainbow dragon using any combo with 4 different elements. You got lucky with that combo. For example, a panlong x any dragon would have a chance for a rainbow. Hope this helps ~
I cannot get one! Did mud+blazing about 8 times in a row, kept getting fed up because I kept getting smoke which takes 14h. Onto third try of lava and snow. Tried crystal+lichen too, to no avail. Are there any combos that are more successful than others? Also what is the average number of tries it takes til you get one?

Buy two and breed them together. I did that and now have 10 rainbow dragons and 12 leapyear dragons. I have also got every dragon I have seen. Be my friend. I will give you gems. My account is sean gan d v.
I was trying to breed another paper with a paper (left) and Poison (right) got a 48 hour breeding time and after that turned out it was a rainbow dragon. it still needs to Incubate but i can wait

I had great success getting Leap Year Dragons using Crystal Dragon and a Lichen Dragon. Hope this information helps.
i really want the ruby and/ or the leap year dragon, because they both are amazong dragons… i want the ruby for the gems, and the leap year for the money. but i kinda want the ruby a bit more… any ways to how to get te ruby dragon? i tried all winter but no luck 🙁 any 2 dragons to how to get it? this is the last day and im desperate!!!
The combination for a Ruby Dragon is a Chrome Dragon and a Scorch Dragon. With that combo you could also get a Leap Yeat Dragon and 13 other dragons including a Rainbow Dragon and a Gold Dragon.
