Omg I can’t get this stupid emerald dragon I just want to get it before the month is gone on the other hand how long does it take to breed an emerald dragon…not incubate but breed. I have tried like a million times and nothing 21mountian dragons,15 cactus, 13tree,and Aton more. Please help!
Hi add me on fb and ill teach u how randolphvalpalma@yahoo.com my dragonvale is there got all 4 rare dragons today emerald, rainbow, sun and moon all in one day and i used some gems to speed up…i know the technique but cant share it to all might not get other gem dragons soon if i do…been playing dragonvale only for at least 2 weeks but i got all rare dragons already.

Crystal and lichen level 10 I have 2 of each and I have an epic and reg breeding cave and I was doing both for about 5 days it finally worked.
I’m on day five now. I’ve gotten a rainbow, a moon, three crystals, two or three mountains, couple of storms, bunch of other randoms–no emerald. Getting burned out on trying, but I’ll keep it up. The crystals are the worst–24 hours, and a crappy sell price. All they do is tie up your cave/island for 12 hours with no real payoff.
I have been trying since they first came out I have countless numbers of dragons. I think I got every single possibility but the Emerald dragon. Currently waiting for another crystal dragon, and my sun and moon to incubate…..Is there something I’m missing. My lichen is level 15 and my crystal is level 10. I also have it going the other way around, and with both of them at level 10
I have 7 emerald dragons and one egg. I use gems to speed up incubation
Best advice is keep using new dragons. I have not
Got two dragons out of the same pair. You can Mix up the pairs, I have got them both ways CRYSTAL ON LEFT OR RIGHT.
What’s the correct and efficient positions of the dragons? I’ve been breeding since the emerald dragon came out and no luck yet. I don’t know. I only have five days left. Add me pls: ajgomes17

I got Emerald after 20 tries with crystal and lichen. I want to get second one before the month but don’t want to go through a bunch of crystals, trees, storm, moss, mountains, ect. Anyone knows the trick for second Emerald?

I work on my second Emerald as well. I am trying quake + lichen combo but no result yet. Doing crystal+ lichen in Regular breeding cave and quake + lichen in EBI now. I will let everyone know……

I heard that if you stand on your head while holding your breath and envisioning an elephant ballet dancing on the head of a pin when you start the breeding, you’re certain to get an emerald. Other than that…nope! 😉
I just bred lichen level 8 and crystal level 6 (in that order) and got 31 hours. First try. Try the combination it really works.
I stopped trying getting an emerald and tried to get a butterfly dragon and
When I breed the cyrstal and liken again I got a sun dragon and an emerald dragon
i got it with lichen+ Crystal in normal breeding cave
Just try Lichen-level 10 (left) and Crystal-level10 (right) and got 48hrs. I think could be Rainbow. I sure hope it’s Rainbow. Been trying to get one for a week now.
Rainbow, sun, or moon…any which way is a win! I’ve been trying CnL for six days now and have gotten a rainbow and a moon. Rainbow is hatching this evening!

I guest I got lucky on the second Emerald Dragon. I used the same combo as the first one.Trying for third or forth Emerald before this month is over.

I tried crystal n lichen for more than 5 times and ending up with bunch of tree dragon, crystal dragon storm and quake but luckily got a 48 hour in the normal breeding cave that end up a rainbow dragon. This afternoon i breed another crystal & lichen and at lastttt i got 31 hour emerald dragon! Lucky me 🙂

Actually I got one now 😀 I had a lichen on the left and crystal on right. (also used gems to speed it up)

I think the trick is to take a break then try to breed an emerald dragon then come back to it. I stopped and tryed to get a butterfly dragon but then when I breed cyrstal+licken again I got a sun dragon and an emerald dragon. I already had a sun dragon from a different combo so the sun dragon was worthless but it still gives you lots of money but not as much as a rainbow dragon. Add me on game center, Nebulagc?(game center name) I am a level 24 and I occasionally will give you gems. I have two sun dragons, three Sakura dragons a clover dragon and an emerald dragon.
Here’s a tip, June’s gem dragon will be the pearl dragon????

I’ve gotten 2 crystals, an army of trees and moss, lichen, moon and finally Lastnight before bed at midnight I spent 7 gems to speed up my EBI and finally got 31 hours. I’m almost level 30 and have played everyday since January, however, I need more people to gift. I HAVE GEM TREE, but only about 2 neighbors play anymore… Please add me (!)jumboner(!) I’m looking for a loyal gifter/player– thank you
Oh and I Believe quake and lichen is a hoax. Don’t give up on the correct methods… And my message to dragonvale wiki… Please change the information at your home page about timing of day not making a difference of breeding a dragon and add in the exception of moon and dragon timing– you had me so confused for awhile.

Bred my second Emerald (Crystal/Lichen @ EBI) but since there is room for only the 12 months, what do you all think ought to be done with the second egg? Show off the egg, hatch it and store it, or sell it?

I am getting bored with it now, so many crystal dragons, even getting bored with sun dragons, I have five and two more hatching!!! It is fair enough being rare, but this is getting ridiculous I have tried level 10. 11, 14 and 15s repeatedly and just getting fed up now 🙁 Losing the will to play 🙁 Cannot add anybody else for gems, sorry guys, would rather be honest and admit that I have my full quota to give out every day and try to do so each day… only don’t send if people fail to return them for a couple of days.. .I wait until I get one back then.
Got it lichen level 10 (slot 1) and crystal level 10 (slot 2) in a normal breeding cave. However it took a good 7-8 tries before I got lucky. Good luck 🙂
If you read about the dragons, it gives you clues on how to get the dragon you want. Like storm dragons like to be out on a stormy snowy night..”snow and lighting”.

OK, so I finally added some friends but how do I send gems to them? I only have the 3 gifts per day I guess and can only send it once??
After I got the third Emerald dragon. I try 5 more times and got tree dragons and other dragons. I didn’t breed anymore dragon for a full day and woke up in the morning and breed lichen with crystal on Epic breeding cave and got 31 hours on the very first try. Now I have 4 Emerald dragons. I am still trying to get Rainbow dragon. Try almost every combinations that were mention on this site and still no Rainbow ………. 🙁
I can’t wait until June GEMS dragons to start.
