I can’t get the Ruby Dragon! Tried so many times with Scorch and Chrome dragon all I ever end up with is a firework, forge or chrome dragon.
Any other combinations?

Nope. Haven’t heard of any other combos. I bred chrome(left) with scorch(right) for more than 20 times b4 I got a Ruby on the Epic Breeding Island. But yesterday, just for fun, I put chrome & scorch in my regular breeding cave & BAM!!! 31hrs incubation time. Definitely a Ruby. So I guess it shows that it is possible to get a Gemstone dragon, without using Epic Breeding Island.
So it’s just luck & patience. I don’t have patience. First time round I bought 2 sacks of gems to speed up the breeding. Used about 260 gems & took me more than an hour.
Yeah It took me a while too. I eventually got it with chrome on the left and scorch on the right. Also, if you like dragonvale u will also like this other free game rage of bahamut. Enter fug33397 for the referral code to get awesome free in-game stuff.
I got it finally, with scorch left and chrome right
After 7 days the combo worked for me.
Chrome (Gale) / Scorch (Striker) both lvl10.
Maybe it has to do with the name: G comes before S?

Add me as well… I have been trying for ruby for a while… i havent got to try that many times because of constant forges -_- i can’t stand that dragon… If anyone wants to add me, i will give gems for gems as much as i can, but i do not have the dragonsai tree, so u may need to wait a day. Oh my gosh I have 8 firework dragons in habitats, 2 on pedistals, 2 incubating and 1 breeding! This is so annoying!!!!!
I got it on my first try. I don’t know how cause I got solstice on 16th try.

Ive tried chrome/scorch SOOOO many times and only gotten forges/fireworks!!!!! And i want a ruby really badly!! Is there another combo out there?? But i got a moon with steel/scorch at 9:00 pm, if anybody needs it!
I keep getting firework and forge!! Can’t get ruby. Couldn’t get pearl and emerald. Must be me. I use chrome 10 on left and scorch levels 10,12,15 on right and keep getting fireworks and forge. What am I doing wrong?

Pollen is plant and air incubate time is 7 hrs or 5 hrs and 36 mins on island
I got it first try super easy
Waiting on my 3rd Ruby dragon now, I used Scorch(L) & Chrome (R) each time. I have tried probably a total of 20 times to get them, I now have about 15 Firework dragons and several chrome. Never got the May-Emerald dragon, but got 2 Pearl. One the last day of the month. Don’t give up.. im still trying to get a Sun and Moon dragon.. they seem to evade me.
Got SO many firework dragons and a copper then the ruby! I want to display the next one and hopefully get another one for the island , then back to getting a moon! Just keep trying cuz it works eventually… ???? (pretend its a dragon)

Thank you to all of you who have friended me. My mission to acquire the EBI is almost a reality, I am 7 gems away! Hooray! I am sending my 3 gems daily and after the EBI my mission will be the dragon tree. By the way I took picture of every single gem friend I received and will send you back. Haven’t get any sun or rainbow or ruby or blue fire yet, will try in the EBI.

I bred around 16 firework,5copper,6scorch before I finally got my ruby:)
Had been breeding a couple at lvl 10 and another at lvl 11,the first time I mixed it up and bred one at each level,I got a 31hr breeding time,maybe give it a try,can’t hurt:)mine was bred in normal breeding cave too,another firework happening on my epic island.i dont buy gems and only speed up with a couple of hours left:)Happy breeding and don’t give up!!Hey–I missed out on the emerald but she’ll be back again nxt year:)

Got it on 2nd try on EBI!!! 🙂 my luck last month was horrible, didn’t get pearl, so this makes up for it!
Does anyone know how to get panlong, sandstorm, current or plasma please help I really want those and I have had no luck with ruby I haven’t been trying it all the time I tried pollen just barley and copper frankly I have no patience so if u could give me some help that would be awesome and does anyone no how to get free gems I buys gems too but I would be great if anyone knew thanks 😉
Panlog you can breed by fog+lava or blazing+mud
Current dragon can be bred by magnetic+water
Sandstorm can be bred by air+mud
Plasma can be bred by seaweed+lighting
I’m working on getting ruby right now, I’m going to use chrome+pollen.
It’s 75.00% out of 16.
So, it’s a good chance.

Just got a 48 hour breeding time. I hope it’s not another moon, I already have 3 of them.
I got ruby the first try. I used Scorch left and Chrome right every time. Got 2 ruby dragons on epic island and 1 ruby from regular breeding den. For pearl I tried over 100 times before I got one.

Sorry. That’s the only combo. You can mix up the order if you want to feel like you’re doing something but it’s just luck and patience.

There is another combo but in order to prove it I need gems . The one I am trying has a 50% chance of producing ruby. Add me send mef gems and I might be able to speed it up
