I have been trying chrome and scorch and haven’t gotten gold but I tryed brass and flower and I got it.
I’ve gotten nothing but Fireworks dragon for every pair suggested, plus for every time I tried to get the Ruby Dragon. I’m up to at least 30 of them… Any help here would be great as I’m getting seriously pissed off. Ugh!
Hey I got the same shit with fireworks, but don’t give up, there will be a ruby or gold dragon or even rainbow 😉

@ fyrenzla: you obviously haven’t played this game long. Any dragon that’s worth breeding is a hassle to get. Ive spent weeks breeding and breeding for one dragon, and some cases like the emerald dragon I spent a month and never got it. Just keep trying the same 2 dragons over and over and eventually you’ll get it, whining and complaining about it won’t get you anywhere. We all had to do I just the same as you, so just do it. There’s no easier way, no shortcuts, just sometimes you’re lucky, and sometimes you’re not. If you can’t take a little waiting either throw a bunch of cash away buying gems, or quit playing.

After bitching me out for something I didn’t even say, do you feel better now? I’ve been playing for over a year & I think I’m allowed to show frustration just like any other human being. But I’m hoping for your sake that ranting, raving & trolling like you just did made you feel far superior.
Fact is they come when they come just keep trying. The first day gold came out I tried a pair no one recommended brass, and forge. I got it first try. Trying to make the stupid ruby it took me like 20 plus try’s with one suggested combo. Don’t always go with what u read. Trust your gut/ or try like hell. You’ll get what u want eventually.
I’m sure some people will get annoyed of the constant “First try” people… 😛 I’ve played this game since it came out and yet no rares whatsoever. I don’t really care, the game is fun, and yet.
I know what you mean. I kept on getting Firework dragons, I thought I might need to wait for July 20th just to get a Ruby, but I just got one a few minutes ago… I’m going to try different combinations for the gold dragon. Good luck!
I had about 25 fireworks while trying for ruby a forge and something elce before my ruby. Just keep at it in EBC

Tried 12 times with crome and scorch with no hit on gold. Then i tried malachite and fire in the standard cave and got gold on the fourth try:D so try malachite and fire. Add sweslo, gem4gem

I got gold with chrome and scorch both times I tried it. I thought these two dragons for the “Ruby” dragon but I guess not. Now I have two gold dragons, that I kinda didn’t want.

Bull. I’ve spent over 200 gems trying to get the freaking gold dragon, and I’m getting nothing. A lot of people are just getting lucky, but trust me, it’s not too easy! Hey, if you think it is, why don’t you shoot me some gems and toss your spare ‘rare dragons’ my way too!
Hey don’t rush with the gold dragon cause i believe the gold dragon is here to stay, so u can try and try until u get him and dont waste 200 gems on any dragon is really not worth it
You must be kidding me… I’m beginning to think that my game is incapable of getting rares, what with no rare dragons, only one or two limiteds, and no gems… and I’ve been playing since it started 😛

Hey everyone just got it today FORGE AND BRASS got me a gold!
Im fairly new to dragonvale and need help even with some of the simpler dragons I can’t seam to get them!! Although managed to get things like a Runyon my first go!!!

They should have new dragons like if you breed water and Air the new dragon could rain or bubbles dragon. And a planet dragon by breeding sun and moon

Aaahhhh! I’ve tried gettin ruby wiv that azwell, but it ain’t workin! I just did try 22, and it just got me another scorch! So far
