Just got peridot with crystal cactus this is probably my 15th try which is not bad i got emerald on my 4th pearl on the 28th of june!!! (hard gemstone dragon) ruby on my 2nd time and then got 4 more! So yaa im trying to get alll of them! Also i was worried about if i should try for olympis dragons (i only need silver) or peridot do i did one in each and now i have a 35 hour and a 31 hour so i wont be breeding for a while!!!
I’ve been tring non stop this combo both ways n both dens and I’ve never had this issue , all I’m getting 24hr lock ups from crystals & moss dragons ,over 40 tries nothing ,hope they find a better combo ,I’m lvl 32 have every dragon gem 4 gem ( but may not hve this gem) uggg bad combo Game center ID LithiumSacrifice , I play every day good luck cause w/ this dragon & others out & this combo has a high fail rate & more 24 ,12 hr lock ups then u can count

I have quite a lot of friends now, but will eventually get a gem sent to everyone on my list, jut takes time at only 6 per day. But I have a nice Olympic Island and my Egg Island has displays of 73 different eggs including all of the Gem and Rares that I know of if you want to check them out.

Yes congrats , question sents I upgraded I’m lost here I jst bread cactus/crystal got a 25 gem & 1:00:47:54 timer? No idea but if it turns out a gem dragon I can say when I put the cactus that wasn’t in the fountain of youth on the epic enchanted w/crystal that’s when I got that time , so guess I’ll cross my fingers
I believe that with the upgraded breeding cave or island, that time would be equivalent I the 31 hours for non-upgraded. That should make it a Peridot. 🙂
I keep trying I tried 35 times and it keeps getting quake and crystal. Is there like a special teqnique
Yes the technique is: try rubbing their nipple before you breed them.hope this tip helps!.

Tried three times with this combo and got itnon the third using the epic breeding island.
Guh. I keep trying cactus crystal and so far I’ve gotten 6 cactus, 3 crystal and a quake. Luckily the cactus are fast, but geez. I’m even using the breeding island. Oh well. Gotta keep grinding.

Got 3. Of these dragons back 2 back 2 back 🙂 used a crystal and cactus dragon the 1st time then used it again and again and got it 3 times in one day…. I also noticed that tryin an air dragon with a quake dragon gives you a better chance for a silver, or gold olmypus dragon… oh who ever wants to feel free 2 add me gems for gems.

Just got Peridot on second attempt. EBI. Cactus/crystal. Both level 10. Not nearly as difficult for me as Ruby was. That one took me all month!
Do u need 2 do anything to the crystal & cactus to get peridot like fountain of youth have 2crystals and 2 cactuses so i can do cave and island at one time really need help.
Also, please stop doing friend requests VERY ANNOYING !!!!!!!
Hey Chris, I didn’t do anything special to get my Peridots. Just used my Cactus and Crystal dragons on both my EBI And EBC and after lots of tries, I have 4 so far. Tried switching the combo back and forth but didn’t seem to make much difference. Didn’t try devolving the dragons back to babies though.
Just keep trying, you do have all month still. Good luck!
i really need gems.. right now i only have 1 gem because my friends never return the favor and i’m always sending gems to them… i struggle alot with the breeding because i cannot speed them up… i have no peridot, and no olympus… please add me and help ,e up getting gems…

I tried cactus & crystal and got one peridot on first try. After that the combination don’t work for me anymore. =( tried air and quake and it gave me SANDSTORM!!! =D
well I got peridot at my 5th time when I bred cactus&crystal i went to the home screen and played dragonvale I saw that its 1:6:49:16 I also got it in a nrmal breeding cave

Took a couple of days. Dragons were level 15. Most in my park are level 15, except for the pure metal ones and some of the rare ones that only go to level 10. Almost able to push the pure metal one to level 15, just need to get a few more to level 10.
Thomin8r do u think the level will affect the breed chances
Chris, I do not think that the level really matters as long as the dragons are mature enough to breed. I would think that most people are using between level 10 and level 15 dragons, although I have seen some islands with level 20 dragons, so probably they are getting things to work with those as well. I think the minimum
Ever for breeding was 6 but I cannot confirm that, just seems to me that I had read that someplace. Other than that, i have also heard that breeding on the Epic Breeding Island seems to have a slightly better success rate, which is also my own experience as I got 3 o the EBI and only 1 so far in the Epic Breeding Cave. I have gotten the Peridot Dragon with Cactus and Crystal, and also with Crystal and Cactus, so I don’t think that the order is too important. Just keep trying. You still have three weeks to get one. I also have focused on trying to get the Olympic Dragons for my Olympic Island, which I am now happy with so I am using one breeding spot to try for more Olympics and one to try for more Peridot. Although, there is only room for 12 gem dragons on the island, so soon I will have to be selling the extras off. I might keep one hatched of each gem in my breeding caves just in case they bring out an upgrade to the gem island or even another one. I try to get 2 Gem eggs for display as well just for show. Above that, I suppose I will have to start selling them. I wish I could gift or sell them to other friends instead of wasting them. We are all playing a game and it would be nice to help out others.

Ethan, I do not know how long you have had Kool Hippo on your list, and I do not know how many friends you have on your list, but it is entirely possible that he has just not had a chance to get a gem sent to you if he has a lot of others on his list also sending him gems. I used to only have 6-10 friends and it was relatively easy to send gems back within a day or two, but since I have started posting comments here I had a large influx of friend requests and now have over 100 friends in my list. Unfortunately we are only able to send 6 gems per day (IF you have the Dragonsai Tree), which means that as much as I would like to send gems every day to everyone that sends me some, it is actually not possible. I do try to return a gem to everyone that sends to me, but even making a list, it only tells you a couple of names and then says “and others”. I am basically just going down my list sending gems, so it can take a couple weeks or more to send to everyone. If they only have a couple of friends o their list, then they may send more to me, but this is the best I can do. I am not trying to defend Kool Hippo, just pointing out a possible reason that he may not have sent you one yet. However, I believe that I do have Kool Hippo on my list, so I will keep my eyes open to see if he does return a gem to me at some point.

Btw the cactus/crystal works I realized I think that they both need to be above level 10 and be the same level like 11 and 11 or 15 and 15. I got 2 with both at level 11 and then both level 13
Ok is it crystal/ cactus or is it cactus/ crystal I am sick of getting all these crystal and cactus dragons I want a peridot by sat its my birthday
I have gotten the Peridot with both combinations. They will be around all month, but since that is the only combination that works, you just have to keep trying. Your only other choice to ensure that you get one by Saturday is to buy it with gems, although it as been my personal experience that if you have enough gems to buy one outright, for me I found that I usually got at least 2 of the gem dragons for the cost of one just by speeding up the breeding instead of buying outright. Although this might not work for everyone, it has worked for me when I chose to spend the gems. Good luck though!
