I got one with rain and mountain after like 6 try’s
Please help! After the last update, when i push the “friends” button (to open so i can give gems or visit) the game just quits.
So i can no longer give gems.
Anyone with same problem? Or solution?

Wikia is claiming mountain/rain has been confirmed as a combo. I don’t no if it’s reliable information, just thought I’d pass it along

Yep. Just got it with mountain and rain.
Mountain and rain combo confirmed… I just got my sapphire dragon!!!! Breed on!!!!! Wow that was fast! I used level 20 dragons and mountain and the right and rain on the left.

Congrats Knocturnal! I will be sending you a gem tomorrow. My Dragonvale friend list disappeared and the game was throwing me out. I did the the recent update (go to Apple App store for the update if you haven’t done so) this morning and my list came back. Only problem, my gifting didn’t replenish today ( as of now noon time pacific time). As soon as I can gift (later today or tomorrow) I will send a gem your way. I will try your Sapphire combo and will let you know if I breed one.
I also lost those I trade jems with regularly.. But was after I updated… Also started crashing but seems to have worked itself out I just checked and friends are back so I sent what jems I had the tree did not replenish … ?? Was weird..
Just got the Sapphire on the first try…so excited! Used the EBC Mountain Lvl 11 (also has been through the Fountain of Youth) on the left and Rain Lvl 10 on the right. Cave has been upgraded so breeding time is 24 hours. Hope this helps…good luck everyone!

Just got 30 hr breeding using mountain lvl 14 left & rain lvl 14 right. Took about 4/5 tries
Mountain & Rain worked! Got it on my first try. (=
I mixed fog and crystal and got something worth 28 hours in the upgraded breeding cave??? Does that make sapphire?

Saw this dragon while racing, i hope this one is less difficult Then the peridot. I spend à lot of gemstones on for that Damn dragon. My gamecenter name is Ravie35 is there someone who wants to add me? I send gemstones back! And Then we dont need to spend so much money for gems….;)

Got Sapphire with mounttain and rain – took about half a dozen goes but now got one full grown and one not yet hatched 🙂 (ran out of gems!)
Rubbish. Not being cynical, but I have just used 300!!! Gems trying rain and mountain each and EVERYTIME, nothing!
It took me the whole month of July to get ruby but I got it and it was worth the wait. She’s beautiful it was a great birthday present to me 🙂 so keep trying u will get it
Do the odds improve at the end of the month when trying for a gem stone dragon?
Tried all month long during August for Peridot and finally got two the last couple days of the month.
Never did get a Ruby.
I’ve updated my dragonvale but I’m still getting booted out when I go to my friend list and even when I’m starting a race it will say loading then kicks me off when I get back in I lost 50k each time I try it it happens. Can some one help please 🙁
Me too I think we just have to wait for an update I have emailed them six times (backflip studios). I just wrote it in my gamecenter status so my friends an see it’s not that I’ve forgotten them!!!

Mountain on the left and rain on the right got 30 hrs in the epic cave.
Got sapphire matching cactus and crystal in breeding island.
I guess the drangon’s level matters…
Peridot was cactus/crystal. I got one hatched and one egg displayed. Need sapphire.

So far with rain/mountain one rainbow, 3snows,4 rain,1 fog AND NO SAPPHIRE dragon. So just luck of the draw I guess.
And with rain/crystal combo I’ve got 3 silver olympic dragons no sapphire
