Mountain (level 15 – left column) + Rain (level 15 – right column) + Breeding island = Sapphire
Please note that I was unsuccessful on 10 to 15 attempts to breed using level 15 mountain and level 10 rain. However, the1st two attempts to breed using both level 15 dragons were successful. So I’m pretty confident that level of dragon and which breeding location you use matters greatly.

This worked but I knew how before this came out so
It’s easy cause you look at the traits and connect them to other dragons . Feathers is for air, blue is usually water or cold depending on shade, and hors on tail or circular Clompy tail or both is for earth so
If this doesn’t work the first time then I’m gonna set my phones time to 5:40 am and try again. Like I did with the peridot… It got me the peridot twice
OMG I just changed the time to 540 AM after using 100+ gems and many failed attempts… And after changing the time I got the sapphire dragon with rain mountain the first time!!!!!!!

I’ve tried it with the rain and mountain dragon 4 times already on the epic breeding island and still haven’t gotten anything. Advice???
I spent 400 gems rushing it, so all I can say is keep trying. You have a month, so take it easy.

Is it possible to breed 2 gem dragons at once….breed one in the EBI while another is breeding in the EBC at the same time? Has anyone done this before?

Can it only be bred with a rain dragon or can you use fog and mountain dragon? Because I don’t have a rain dragon yet.

What level does the rain and mountain need to be? I have a gem tree. And tRade fairly

Are u sure doc? I heard that level 15 dragons produce results sooner than level ten dragons. And do they have to be the same level to get the right combo?
Well, I don’t know how you’d test that. I have had to try 50 times with level 15 dragons to get a gem dragon, and I have gotten them on the 3rd try with a level 5 dragon. I honestly think it is dumb luck, and things like leveling up might SEEM to help only because you tried 30 times, didn’t get it, then leveled up, tried 5 more times, and got it. I think you would have gotten it on the 35th try no matter what.

SO to be clear the only combo is rain/left mountain/right ?
You can usually mix the order with no problem, but yes, Rain and Mountain. Just breed them 6 times a day for 30 days and you should get one.

Hey doc, since rain is the same elements as fog, can’t you do fog/ mountain?
I really want to get my first gemstone dragon. I was trying really hard to get it, but all of my tries ended up as moss dragons. I hope I will have more luck this month! I need gems though. Okay..it may just b me..but ever since the update, evrytime i try to view my friends list, it kicks me out of the game..

also macenstein i cant get a rain dragon can i use fog instead ? i need gems but have max friends so im just gonna use gem dragons and colleseum.
If it says rain I do fog and I get better results

Does it matter when you are breeding the sapphire dragon, if the rain is on the right, and mountain on the left, or could you breed it the other way around?

I am so upset I just installed the update and every time I tap on the friend it takes me out of dragon vale what is going on I want to add new friends I have a gem tree and I can’t even give them away I am level 34 please help me my IPad says if I delete my app I will lose all my data
Try a complete reboot. Turn your iPad, iPhone completely off then on again. It works for me every time I get the same problem with a software update
