I just got the BlueMoon dragon! I was trying to get another moon dragon by breeding sonic and storm but instead got and egg that said 29.5 hours to incubate. I am pretty positive that I got it 😀

Moon + bluefire is a possibility. What if its the same combo as the sapphire dragon? Got 48 hours with rain + mountain combo. They r still breeding though… Plus seems a bit wiered since the dragon is only available tomorrow.
Might be rain + crystal? Seems like crystal season is often involved when breeding rarities.

I got a 48 hour with rain and mountain as well. Still incubating. Wonder if it coul be the blue moon. Crazy to throw this dragon out there while we are all desperately trying for the sapphire..
The 48 hour breeding time with Mountain + Rain is a Rainbow.

You just need to get her hooked on something. Start with an easy one like Words with Friends, or Tetris, and once she has her own time burglar, she can’t say anything.

Just thinking— if the combo is Moon Dragon and a regular dragon such as Blue Fire will there be only one possible result (ie: a Blue Moon Dragon) or 3 possible results such as Blue Fire, Blue Moon or Moon. Obviously if you get Moon that has 48 hour breeding time you are out of luck unless you use 48 gems to speed up the breeding.
Sun and moon mught work but blue fire ir frostfire might work also
I always thought they should come out with a eclipse dragon but breeding sun and moon.
Why are we sure it’s only available on the 7th? The popup I got said to play Dragonvale this weekend .. which to me implies Saturday and Sunday. Although maybe that’s just wishful thinking on my part because if the combo is indeed moon + moon I need to acquire another moon and FAST.
If the combo is moon + bluefire it will be immediately apparent though when the breeding time opens because if you only have one moon and you select it to breed all the other dragons become impossible to click on.

Agreed! I think it’s a bit out there to expect for everybody to have 2 moon dragons. I’m hoping it’s gonna be a Moon + something a bit more common.
On the topic of not being able to breed a moon dragon with another dragon: it’s not “once in a blue moon” for nothing. And yes, I think we have a weekend to get it!
On facebook (https://www.facebook.com/dragonvale) it says we have 36 hours. Now moon dragons are usually only bred between 7pm-7am, so 36 hours means we have Friday night, Saturday night, and Sunday night between the hours of 7pm and 7am to breed this thing. I REALLY hope it doesn’t require two moons because I only have one!

I was trying to get sapphire earlier today, and with mountain and splash, I got a 48 hour incubation time. It might be the blue moon!

Well if it is moon and moon the chances of getting a blue moon will be scarce because as the blue moon dragon is rare, it will probably be about a 25% chance for a blue moon and blue fire and moon will have even less chance since the moon dragon isn’t a fire attribute at all.
i dont think most of you people are remembering this but u cant breed moon with another dragon except another moon… so you cant breed it with bluefire or something (unless for some reason on the 7th they make an acception…)
I have 2 moons…when should I try breeding them? I can post results here after I know when to try.

I would assume that the ball starts rolling at 12:00 AM on the 7th.. but I’m not sure if that’s EST or PST or what. Although the time frame for regular moons is like 7PM to 7AM right? I’m guessing that they’ll make it available as soon as the 7th hits though.. since it’s already an extremely tight time-frame.. who really knows though at this point :/ wish we had some official information.

I have tried for sapphire and silver…probably 20 times…no luck. I really hope the blue moon is easier! On a positive note…I have nearly maxed out my cold dragon shrine!
I got silver on my first try. It was kind of an accident haha. I got sapphire on the 5th try. It normally takes the day before they go away to get them

Blue moon probably won’t be breedable until midnight. Could it be only possible exactly at 1200 MDT?
Dragonvale Facebook page has event from Friday 1230 pm MDT to Monday 1230 pm MDT.
Solstice was a limited Sun-type dragon. Solstice did not include a Sun Dragon in it’s combo. Most likely Blue Moon will be a “easy-to-acquire” limited dragon, don’t panic it most likely WONT include a Moon Dragon in It’s combo.
All my level 35 friends are gone from my list ???? and when I added new friends they don’t show up on my list. Anyone else run into this problem?

The Dragonvale FB page says from tomorrow 12:30PM Mountain Time through Monday 12:30PM Mountain time (72 hrs total). Hope somebody figures out the breeding pair(s) FAST esp. if it’s a 48 hr breeding time…

What if because to get a normal moon is firefly and cold. So blue fire (for the blue) and because in the previous combo it is fire lightning an cold and in blue fire you get cold and fire so maybe blue fire with a dragon that has lightning.
So it’s 7th 🙂 any ideas yet? Tried to breed moon with… But moon isn’t compatible with anything

I’ve been up all morning wating for it to arrive but it hasn’t. So I’m expecting it a little bit later. And to answer a earlier comment. There is an eclips dragon. It’s just like a very, very long time between the dates you can get it…
Two moons is the only possibility, just moon eggs so far, keep trying!

I tried air and crystal and got 35 hours until breeding is over I’m guessing that would mean I got ANOTHER olympus dragon?
Anyone figure out how to get blue moon yet? What & when should we breed to get it??
Has anyone got a confirmed pairing yet? Am dying to get it but hope its not moon/moon because im guessing the solstice dragon was an extension of the sun dragon and possible thru mud/blazing so blue moon wud be an extension on the moon dragon and breedable with non-special dragons??

Hey doc it’s like solstice dragon ‘caues solstice’s icon was sun so in away it cannot be moon +moon and blue moon’s icon must be moon
*whistles and waits* I tried breeding a moon yesterday since I only have one and
sped through with my gems only to get another sun dragon. There shoUld be a dragon
trading option in Dragonvale since I started playing at the end of June and I’m missing
a ton of these seasonal dragons.

I try mine and crystal. Incubation time is 46,5 hour. Is it blue moon?
I’m guessing it’s Moon+Moon, since you have to have two Full moons in one month for it to be considered a blue moon. Made the mistake of trying to breed this morning before I saw the announcement and now have three regular moons in the hatchery. *sigh* It’s gonna require quite a few gems to get those out of the way for this afternoon. Hopefully it won’t require multiple breedings to get or this could easily become my most expensive acquisition thus far. :/
