Thank you everyone that sent friend requests! I now have 7 friends which means I will have to alternate someone each week. If I didn’t accept your request, it was because I didn’t want anyone upset if I couldn’t send them a gem. Thank you again for the responses!

Finally got the eggs yesterday after 7 days and 30 tries. Had both caves running simultaneous with Level10 Lava on left, L10 Mud on right. I got it in regular breeding cave first then next breeding on EBI got it too. I now have two eggs incubating. Thought I was going to smash my iPhone there for a while I was so frustrated.
Looking for a few reliable friends to trade. I have Dragonsai Hiving tree and only one friend who trades daily… Looking for 5 more who want to trade daily or every other day. I defriend end those who didn’t give me a gem back!

I feel like I’ve bred about 50 mud/lava dragons in the EBI, both at level 10. Still not luck. What’s up with this?

Finally got 31 hour breeding time after trying for 12 days, also got a bone dragon today with lava and mud. Add me for gem trade on Classicad.

Seems like I am not getting Opal with my level 15 dragons. There should be some reward for working hard and growing all dragons. Try 69 with mud and lava. I don’t like RED.

All you have to do is get a mud and lava dragon straight out of the nursery feed them to level ten, then breed the lava on the left and mud on the right. Me and a bunch of other people got it first try doing this. Good luck!

Arghhhhhhh YES!!!! Finally iv got one haha waiting to hatch 70+ each of lava and mud eggs decided to hatch a new pair lvl them to 10 bred them on island 1st attempt with new dragons and I got 1 Woop my 1st gemstone aiming for bone and rainbow now before topaz dragon comes out that’s my birth stone have to have it

Have been trying since day one on both the island and cave 3 to 4 times a day. Just got one in the enchanted cave using a new mud lv5 on left new lava lv10 on right. I remember reading this combo on this site so thank you to whoever posted it :0)

The hardest to breed have been Emerald, Sapprire, and the WORST Opal……sorry, Peridot was difficult, too! I have both breeding. Upgraded..syne it’s meant to be that way..,?

I was going by the elements involved with the dragon…. I nvr even knew about Mac until my son showed me when the gem dragons started.
I always bred “pure” dragons in the order of the desired dragon…I had “All At Once” before I started using Mac’s suggestions.

I have the same infuriating problem! Contact the maker, I can’t remember the name right now, and they may make an update to fix it. If enough people complain. Good luck:)
I’ve been trying since day one, both in the upgraded cave and the regular island and no luck so far 🙁 I did get the sapphire eventually last month so I’ll keep trying… If someone wants to trade gem for gem, I can give 3 every 48 hours (already have three friends). My username in the game center is Eypf.
Also many thanks to the Doc. His suggestions have always worked for me in the past! And I’m curious to know how he has both the opal and the Shappire eggs in the picture. I though gem dragons cannot breed with other dragons (??!!)
The opal combo does work but u have to play with the levels. If u get mud, up it fire a bit….same thing other way. But, no joke, this one is HARD!
As for having “older” eggs in Mac’s screen shots….come on… U don’t have to hatch the egg if u don’t need the space.

Been trying both ebi and cave since Mac posted the combo. I’ve bred over forty times mud on left lava on right and vice versa still no luck. This is getting pretty ridiculous I’d like to try and breed some other dragons too DV!!
