Maybe Sandstorm and Ice/Iceberg? Opals are frequently found in sandstone. They have a water content up to 21%. That could account for the color or lack of color referenced in the description.
No it’s not looked already its copper and quake because you can get them at level 12!
hello people! you’ll know you have one when, and only when, you get a breeding time of:
31 hours (in the regular breeding cave and breeding island) — will look like this: 1:07:00:00
28 hours 48 minutes (in the upgraded breeding cave and island) — will look like this: 1:04:48:00
sorry mistyped up there — the upgraded time is _24_ hours 48 minutes (confused with all the olympus talk!) or 1:00:48:00

To me,it looks like a moon dragon, the moon consists of crystal and blue fire, so that could work. My caves are full and gems are lw… I will have to wait to try for one.

Lava and mud wouldn’t make sense since you need 4 elements
I just tested it out. Got the opal dragon on the fifth try using Lava and Mud.
Just got breeding time 1:00:48 with lava and mud. ????
Got 1:00:47:52 Breeding time in Breeding Cave (Upgraded). Lava & Mud; 3rd try (using gems to speed up first 2 tries)

I took this from dragonvalehow app for my iPhone….. “The Opal Dragon can be bred by selecting a Lava Dragon to mate with a Mud Dragon at the Breeding Cave/Epic Breeding Island.
Recommended combinations: Lava/Mud.”.

So after reading everyone suggestions, I tried panlong and butterfly and got 28 hours on upgraded EBI. I’m gonna try fog and sandstorm next! Ya never know! Good luck everyone!

Lava + Mud worked for me around the 6-7th try 🙂 on regular breeding cave
It took 8 times but Mud & Lava did work. Both level 11 dragons on EBI.
Can someone help me out? I want to make in app purchases to get this dragon and speed everything up. But my ipad2 says that in app purchases arent allowed…. and there is now way to fix in settings
Go to Settings >> General >> Restrictions. Under Allowed Content, there is a setting for In-App Purchases. Hope this helps.

Wait a minute! Are you sure that this person is a adult and not a kid on their parents iPad or using their parents account? I know lots of patents who block in app purchases so their kids won’t of crazy.

I didn’t mean to offend you, I swear! When my nephew got his iPod touch my sis set up the account info never thinking he would go and buy a bunch of stuff. She locked the buying option very quickly after that. Lots of parents do it. But I promise I didn’t mean my post in a ugly way, just a protective one.
As I do with my children, I figure most parents create a password for the restricted portion of the ipod settings so that the kids can not change the settings. With that in mind, I figured it wouldn’t be an issue to tell him how to get there since he wouldn’t be able to do anything about it unless he has the password.

OK, after spending all morning trying different combinations, the system must have felt bad for me. I now have four Opals in the nursery. 😉 (so to answer someones earlier question, yes, you can get more than two gemstone dragons in one month.

I rushed the breeding time and it is in fact an opal!!
