The 1st Egg is the DragonVale Solar Eclipse Dragon Egg
Don’t try sun or moon with equinox…you’ll waste 48 hours on another sun or moon, respectively…interestingly, there is a decoration available that notes breeding a sun and moon to get this solar eclipse dragon…Can’t wait to see how this goes 😀
wow, it’s only going to be around for 10 days? that doesn’t give us much time to get it! hope you work out the combo soon!!!
thats the fun of this game i go to say. if it werent for limited dragons i wouldnt feel all special inside when i know i got one that wont be around for a while.

I noticed the egg isn’t available yet so I guess we have to wait for an update? sun and moon makes sense though, seeing a solar eclipse is when the moon blocks the sun. pity I don’t have a sun or moon dragon. 🙁
The egg is available. Im in Jakarta and I’m already breeding it – blazing lava, blazing bone, blazing obsidian – the UMBRAL SCULPTURE is the decoration BTW. I Love DV!
I have a sun and my sister has a moon but I just bred it on my second try with the first combo!

the combo that makes the most sense to me is Solstice/Equinox but it has no luck thus far. I am also trying Blue Moon/Equinox. Nothing yet either. Well, nothing but another Blue Moon dragon and an Equinox dragon.
although, the decoration does say something will happen when you can breed them. For the Blue Moon dragon, the Moon Habitats had floating blue-light things surrounding it. Maybe something similar will happen with the Solar Eclipse?
that would be cool! maybe the solar eclipse dragon only has fire for the time of the solar eclipse…that wouldn’t look as cool though

I bred the lava and blazing dragon and got a 48 hour breeding time in the breeding cave even though I have an epic breeding island. Do you think I’m getting the solar eclipse dragon?
Chee whoo….got a solar eclipse with The Docs recommendation …….I didn’t even have a sun dragon …i started with the sun dragon in 2 caves both caves produced 2 sun dragons then because everyone was saying all the hype was sun and moon….blah wrong tried docs blazing and lava in both caves and TADAAA Solar Dragon Thank you Doc all of my dragons stated coming since I been reading your recommendations ……..MAHALO 🙁 still trying for a rainbow ….I got 3 topaz just watching what the doc is doing

THE eclipse decoration is now schouwing some thing thans looks like a black-hole.
So i have à sun and equinox breeding going ( sun and moon is not postille yet?)
Have abreeding time of 39 hours so maybe this is it???

Speculation sounds like its going to be sun and moon…. But I need a sun…. And fast I think!!! Everything I try seems to fail!! Help pls… I need a sun dragon recipe 😉

No don’t try with sun and moon try blazing and bone I got it first go, sun and moon can’t breed together I don’t think and sun or moon and equinox will just get you another sun or moon
Blazing and lava is correct.
Just put them in the breeding on THE Islands and got a 39 hour breeding time.
Only other outcomes of this combo are obsidian, blazing and lava.
Let you know in two days what had come out of the breeding.
OMG! I seriously just did a blazing and lava and got it!! SWEAR to you!!! The egg is orange on top and looks like an eclipse on the bottom right.

I tried Solstice + Sun, and got 48 hours incubation time, and my Umbral Sculpture all of a sudden has a black cloud in it… we’ll see!!!
I had my black cloud before I bred the dragons… It kind of prompted me into doing it…

I got one with a level 15 Blazing and level 13 Lava on breeding island on 2nd attempt. Used my gems because I needed to know. Hope this helps. I don’t really have a lot of friends on DragonVale and idk if it helps. My ID is rikardodee

Just got a 48 hour breed time by using blazing/lava. Hopefully I got it.
I just used my gems and yup I got it.
I got it with Blazing & Lava on Epic Breeding Island. The egg is sitting in my Nursery right now.

I just got one with Blazing and Lava
I bred Blazing and Dodo in the regular breeding cave— 1st attempt was a Blazing Dragon, 2nd attempt resulted in an Obsidian Dragon, 3rd attempt was 48 hour breeding time – Solar Eclipse Dragon.
Tried about 10 times and nothing then got 2 39hr dragons 1 after another, so hope they are eclipse as I could not get the equinox dragon!!!

I confirm blazing+obsidian. Didn’t have luck with blazing+lava in the EBI, but I did blazing+obsidian in the breeding cave and it worked at first time.
Blazing + Obsidian in both of the breeding caves. 39 hours in the two upgraded caves. Believe that is the two eclipse dragons.
yes! blazing and lava, bred in both EPS and EBC and both got 39 hours. think I got my Solar Eclipse Dragon(s) 😀
thank the world for gems. yes i got me two solar eclipse dragon eggs. hatch both, breed them and put that one on display. that’s the way I do it.
