Did blazing and obsidian both level 10 in normal breeding cave and still nothing.Have to wait for the 8 hr. breeding time to go away.:/ Honestly,I think I suck for not having any rares except for a rainbow when I’m a level 22.:/
no man, you’re doing fine. I’m level 40. got 4 rainbows, 2 solar eclipse, 2 blue moon, 1 equinox (though I bred 3), all the gemstone dragons thus far (except emerald and pearl) and all my dragons are level 20. but, i didnt get my first rainbow until level 23. first sun dragon at 25 and first moon at 25. perseverance is the key, my friend.

You can get the Solar Eclipse Dragon with several combinations of Sun type and Moon type. The Eclipse only needs one from each of the two elements.
When you reach level 24 thats where you get all the rare dragons.

How do you get a sun properly?
Try air with bone. Blaze doesn’t have to be used. Use a combination of air, fire and earth. Add me…. Daphne*77

ok I just went on dragonvale and guess what I seeeeeee!!!! New solar eclipse dragon availible till November 19, after that I rush to safari and then I search how to breed solar eclipse dragon I tap on the link and here I am! I’m always on dragonvale and whenever there’s a new dragon I go to this website, check the breeding, go back to dragonvale, do the breeding thingy and I wait, and wait, and wait, and wait, and sleep, and wait, and etc. so thx doc! Got the blue moon and equinox dragon cuz of this website, and now hopefully the eclipse. Thx doc for everything!

hour breeding time!!!! And we only have until the 19th
Blazing + obsidian EBC first try instant Solar eclipse dragon, used my remaining gems to speed him out of the breeding cave and put my lvl 15 blazing and lvl 13 obsidian straight back in to breeding and got my second one.
This dragon seems to be a easy catch. :3 adorable egg designs and I love how darkly coloured he is! :3 so cute!

I don’t understand why we can’t breed Moon:Sun together to breed an Eclipse dragon when I have watched someone doing just that on Utube. I have read that we can on the 28th November as that is when the Solar eclipse is occurring. I have also read that if we have the Umbral Sculpture Decoration that it animates ( mine is showing a black swirling hole over it -so it is activated) but I still can’t breed the Moon:Sun together. Could this be because I’m from Australia or can anyone help answer my queries???? Would be MUCH appreciated if someone replies 🙂

Can i breed a solstice with an equinox to get this dragon?
No you can’t. You can breed – Sun: Solstice together ( I got a Sun )
Or. – Sun: Equinox together ( I got a Sun again)
Then you can breed. – Moon: Equinox together ( I got a Moon )
– Moon: Blue Moon together ( I got a Moon again )
They were the only combinations that the breeding caves would allow me to breed.
I’m having no luck with this one yet hoping for the best though ^_^ will get it eventually I’m sure XD
patience is the key to breeding any dragon. patience, and a bit of luck helps too

i don’t have every dragon in the game, as i only joined in june of this year and was unable to breed an pearl dragon while they were available, but i have everything else, including the Solar Eclipse dragon that just came out.

Blazing obzidian first try..
You go into the icon that looks like a wizard robe where it says “Friends” at bottom right corner in your Dragonvale. Once you are in there your “Friends List” comes up. Then you see your friends ID names on the LHS and next to each friend it says “FREE GIFT”. You press that on any 6 friends that you want to give a gem to once every 24 hours

Probably once there is an actual lunar eclipse. The solar eclipse is occurring this coming Tuesday. 🙂

I’m in Melbourne, Australia. I still have to check when the next Solar eclipse is. I know people have been saying there is a major one on the 28th November in the US but don’t know if we get it on the same day.

Yeah I am. I thought about that after I wrote the response. That it may not be the same for everyone? But yes I’m in America and I read that it was the 13th…? Hi again. I googled the Solar eclipse and we get it on the 14th November, which is the 13th for you guys in the USA.( you probably already knew that)
Anyway it’s probably when we can breed Moon:Sun together. It’s weird, when I watched the Utube video it showed the Moon:Sun breeding and instead of 48 hours it was 96 hours. Who knows maybe it will take that long when you can breed them together.

Has anyone took note of the time in which the initiated breeding??
Becuz i believe my mom, step brother. And myself(sadly on second account) all threw the dragons in to breed between 800 n 815 EST and well all got the eclpise incubating. Just a thought. Maybe thats roughly the time the actually eclpise is expected?? Idk jus throwing ideas around for those who didnt get it right away

I think i might have it, firts try bone and blazing, though not quite sure yet…
I got it first shot in upper breeder using blazing/obsidian
Then I breed solar/ equinox together and got my second equinox I needed!
Then tryed again and got my second solar!
It works people don’t believe go check out my eggs

Got this guy back to back with Blazing and Lava. I think the trickis the time you breed. I get all my good dragons at around 2am Eastern Time. Hope. This helps!

Got it first try with blazin and bone- both level 11 in the breeding cave- 48 hour time to hatch!! Bred at 9:45 am :)!
blazing level 12 and lava level 10 upgraded island GOT HIM!!! FIRST TRY…tried blazing level 10 and obsidian level 12 in upgraded cave earlier and got 8 hour time??? happy to get the eclipse one though!! Thanks Macenstein!! you ROCK!
