I got it first try with blazing and earth, I heard many people have too, recently.
I spent over 300 gems on fast breeding to try and get this thing didn’t get anything as soon as I started getting level 15 dragons it became a lot easier to get rare dragons. So work on getting level 15 and you’ll spend less try’s at breeding caves. Using that trick I got my topaz yesterday ans my solar eclipse wednesday.

After trying to get this Eclipse dragon since it was introduced, (I have lost track of how many times I tried) and as Trogdor (above) suggested, I increased the level of my dragons for breeding the Eclipse –Blazing and Obsidian– to level 15 and immediately got a 48 hr breeding time!! So it seems Trogdor is right about breeding level15 dragons. Good luck all!!!
I just did my gazillionth blazing/obsidian level 15 dragons at midnight on the 19th and got a 39 hour breeding time on the epic breeding sanctuary. Is that the reduced breeding time for a 48hr dragon? And is it an eclipse or does it end at midnight on the 19th? I may have to wait and see but I’m keeping my fingers crossed.
I have tried with levels 20 and 18 and still nuthin’.

RAIN and LAVA works too. Was trying for a Palong dragon and got a second Eclipse dragon instead =p

I finally have two!!! Yeah for me!!! I played with pathways, decorations
,etc. until my visitors had climbed in numbers, put dodo and firefly in the
hut and got it first try, took them out, put same pair back in same cave,
got my second!!! WooHoo!!!!!
After countless tries with blazing/bone,lava,obsidian I got 48 hours first try in normal breeding cave with Air (lvl 10) and newly hatched raised to lvl 7 Obsidian!! Being i will use Kairos to speed it up by 6 hours tonight I’ll only have 42 hours to wait and see!! Good luck all!!!! Now back on to topaz!

I did Lava and Air trying to a Smoke Dragon and got 48 hours. Do you think this is what I’m breeding for?
Got one with Obsidian (left) and Blazing (right). After like 15 tries.
Finally!! I have my second one incubating! I got both of them using Blazing & Bone.
I tried every combo and I couldn’t get the solar eclipse dragon but then I tried bone and sandstorm and I am on my second one. You should try bone and sandstorm if you haven’t got one yet. It really works!
Breeding a solar eclipse and a equinox can result in ether cropping up, so if you only have one of each you can now get eggs to display

I tried blazing and lava at least 10 times and still no solar eclipse and I’m running out of time to get one! I do have an obsiden dragon do you think my chances will be better if I use blazing and obsiden?

The combination of a Panlong dragon and an Ash dragon makes a solar eclipse dragon.
I got two eclipse dragons in a row with fog and obsidian.
I just got it with blazing 10 and obsidian 10 but I bred them at 2am central time, HOPE THIS HELPS!

Got it using blazing Level 12, and mud level 15 on breeding island.
Just got my 2nd solar eclipse on the island from blazing and mud thought it was another rainbow since I was tryin for panlong while breeding solar eclipse with moon in cave trying for a second solar eclipse but got a second moon instead then 1st pair of blazing and mud on island 14hours so guessing its a smoke dragon and 1st pair of blazing and mud in cave gets 36hours!!! Soooo happy since havent upgraded either of them just gotta wait for all them to finishing breeding and incubating to add to my big collection. Gem for gem I.d:

While trying trying breed a eclipse dragon, I got this other 48 hour dragon, but I don’t know what it is. I did blazing and mountain. The egg doesn’t look like any of the dragons I know. The egg looks like an dark asteroid. Any idea what it is?
Solar eclipse dragon is finished a while ago…what you have is lunar eclipse dragon.
Solar Eclipse dragon finished… November 18th I think it was. The Lunar Eclipse dragon, available until the third, would be the dragon that you got. Gratz, I am only just now (second to last day) getting one, so… Good for you, anyway. What is it that you bred, because Lunar Eclipse requires air, ground, and cold. ,:\ ?
