I noticed in the description of the seasonal dragon a mention
of a cousin who is exact opposite. u think it’s a hint?
i found something just like that! in the decoration section in the market i saw the umbral sculpture which states
this sculpture was inspired by the story of the creation of the world and the coming together of the first sun and moon dragons. When the magic is aligned to allow for eclipse dragons to be bred the magic of theis sculpture is activated and a syzygy occurs.
holy goodness! i have been waiting for the ecclipse dragon for a while.
Doc, or anybody, do you think there could be a seceret way to breed it b/c i havnet seen it at the market yet!

You breed the Sun and Moon dragons
I think the eclipse dragon may become available around November 13 to November 28 because that’s when the solar eclipse is occuring. I’m guessing that Backflip will allow the breeding of moon and sun dragons during that period to get the eclipse. That’s what the umbral sculpture seems to hint at in the description.
Just today, Dragonvale posted on their Facebook page that later today, the Eclipse dragon will be available!
Hey! There’s already some ways to breed it in this site.
One of these is obsidian and blazing.
I got two 48hrs w blazing + bone in breeding island & blazing + lava in breeding cave both on 1st try. All level 10 dragons. I m hoping it is solar eclipse like Dr’s. but I make more than 50 tries for topaz but not successful yet (Catus + firefly or swop many times but mostly got mostly Catus or firefly).. I also tries so many times for Sun, Moon, silver, Olympus (bronze + silver)… It can be quite depressing but once in a blue moon when there is 35hrs or 48hrs breeding time, i jump for joy !!! Still trying for my missing dragons… Pls add me for gems as I still need ppl to exchange gems. Gem tree allows alternate days.. I got a topaz using a cactus and firefly on my fifth try. I’m trying to get another one
How did you manage that ?
I tried it about 15 times with cactus on right,
and about another 15 with cactus on left on epic breeding island,
never got one ..

I notices that when u gave us the picture of the topaz dragon egg that u have the love dragon and I think the bloom dragon egg in your incubation building; how is that possible their not available right now
if you manage to to breed two of a limited kind when available, you ‘ll be able to do it even when no more available. Except for gems dragons, wich cant be bred as you know.

Still got no luck at all D: I just started playing this and been trying to breed topaz and did not work at all. Am I too ambitious to breed gem stone dragon at a low level (17) ????? Yay…I’ll better keep trying then…fingers cross!

I got the gemstone Topaz dragon, and I was (I think) only level sixteen, although I am now lvl 17. Best of luck! (PS it took me like 15 try’s to get the topaz.)

Gggrrr…….on my 12th attempt and all I get is cactus,scorch,flower,poison,and firefly with this stinkin combo.Also,what up with only one combo you can do?I seen people with a breeding cave and a giant purple crystal inside it.What lvl do you have to get to get that?Iam a level 22 and my friend is a level 23 and he has it.Is it true that you have to be lvl 23 to get it?Or does it have to do something with shrines.Doc or someone,please try to answer the giant crystal thingy migy nonsense because im confused.:/
I think that’s when u upgrade it.
Upgrade it with gems, dont breed first, click the breeding cave then you will see the upgrade arrow icon. I think its 175 gems to upgrade.
Agree. U must wait for yr breeding cave to be empty then upgrade with 175 gems. This will also shorten yr breeding time by 20% – faster.
I CAN’T GET A TOPAZ!! Been trying and trying for a while. Any suggestions?? I tried with lvl 10 dragons

I suggest breed two adults or two fountain baby’s because one baby and a adult will not make it at all check out my file user name ZecromEX that’s gamecenter also I got a lot of cool dragons
Just keep trying. After about 10 attempts in each I finally bred 2 topaz dragons simultaneously one in the cave and one one the island. Firefly on left, cactus on right
Keep trying! Today after countless attempts (at least 20) I finally got the coveted 30 hour breeding time! Level 10 Cactus and Level 10 Firefly in the Breeding Island.
I’m beginning to think this is just not going to happen :-/

Hey did you know you can breed an air dragon with fire and water dragons? Some of you probably do but in case you didn’t. I’ve done it at least 10 times.
Any tips on breeding topaz?? I’ve been trying forever in the regular breeding cave. Do you think I should get the EBI??
No, just keep on trying. I just got mine after multiple attempts. Cactus on left, firefly on right. Normal breedingcave.
Wahou this one was easy! First try and 30h incubation!
Finally have one breeding!!!! Last night i got tired of trying
and went to bed leaving both caves empty. First try this morning
and i got one. The other pair are still trying to get it right. I also

When trying to breed a Topaz does it matter which dragon is on the left or the right? I see some people saying cactus and firefly and others saying firefly and cactus. I have tried about 20-30 times with the cactus on the left and firefly on the right but still nothing!!
HEY! The umbral sculpture has a black swirly thing around it and when I went to add dragons to a breeding cave, the sun dragon shows as an option!!! Unfortunately, I don’t yet have a moon dragon to breed with him to try for the eclipse. I used the combo crystal and lichen and got TWO sun dragons one after the other. Is there any other combo for a moon?

Did you use cactus and firefly? Still haven’t gotten a topaz egg with that combo! How many tries did it take you?
It took about a dozen or so tries with cactus and firefly.
I leveled them to their max. Just keep trying. And i did
notice that u have a better chance the later at night it is.
And for eclipse use blazing and lava or bone

24 hours in the breeding cave cactus and firefly its upgradded that it goes faster so i hope its a topaz!! So meany tryes so meany ccactus firefly and sorch and anorher dragon.
