How can you have a love Dragon and Bloom Dragon incubating at the same time as a Topaz Dragon? I thought those were expired?
Lol, he could of breeded them from already having the parents.
If you have two expired dragons you can still breed them together. That’s how he had those eggs.
If you were breeding a love or bloom dragon, you can get one of their babies even off-season. You just cant get one if you don’t already have one.
If you have 2 Loves and breed them they will give Love egg 100%
Same with any of the special limited dragons or regular everyday dragon.
I always breed for 2 of all of them so I can mate and get eggs any time I want for display or an extra
So frustrating, going on my 76th try for this elusive Topaz dragon using cactus and firefly. All I end up with is another cactus, firefly or poison.

Agree with you. This really tested my patience to the limits… Jus managed to have 24hr (normal 30hr) in upgraded cave. I am keeping my finger crossed that it is finally the Topaz dragon.. I’ve lost count of the numerous time I breed catus + firefly. Always end up w fly fly, cactus or scotch!! Yap. It is certainly much more than 60x.. Really frustrating but preserver on bcos of encouragement from others who are more persistent even after many more times.. Keep trying & all the best..
I got Opal pretty easily, but this topaz is really beginning to get me mad! I breed for it so many times a day, for weeks! STILL NOTHING! Indeed elusive, and I really don’t want to miss it either.
Yap, I got opal, solar eclipse so much easier too. I did not understand how others manage to preserve over 100x to get their elusive dragons until I attempted this Topaz.. I was forever breeding same combination fr the time it was available.. It’s either 30min or 3hrs..firefly, catus, scotch on both the breeding island & breeding caves.. It’s like day & night I’m putting same combination.. Finally I understand & salute those who keep trying cos I get frustrated after abt 20 tries.. but I continue partly cos I wanted to find out if I try really really hard like others wld I really really get it.. cos I still have sun, moon, seasonal, silver, Olympic – silver & bronz dragoon breed. Well, I will use e same try try & retry & hopefully get them.. So good luck & more importantly dun give up!

I have now 4 solar eclipse and 3 topaz dragons and my rainbow dragon seems like the more you spend the more you get…go figure huh ….I bred lava+ blazing L15 for the eclipse in both caves kept going and going and going tried almost a hundred times day after day after day and got my rainbow dragon during the course of trying to get my topaz and eclipse…. I also have another comment about gem for gem some people lie they just want you to give gems but they don’t give back….just saying ……

I’ve given up on finding actual gem for gem traders. I have 6 to gift daily & it’s normal for me to waste a few daily. I got tired of gifting all of them only to receive 1 or 2 back. I understand some ppl rotate or go down their neighbor list but it shouldn’t be advertised as “gem for gem” then. Just my thoughts.

Bred cactus + firefly in both breeding caves made two sets and continuously bred until I got it took me a while to do it I bred like nearly a hundred times maybe 50 In both caves. I’m trying to get one for my egg collection …..I always follow the docs breeding advice good luck to you n breeding your topaz…..my game center ID is noelania. I’m breeding a topaz in my EBI, I wanna say fourth try cactus left firefly right. Both firefly and cactus were in fountain of youth meaning their both level ten also
Dang! I’ve tried to breed that thing since November 1 with m Firefly lv7 and Cactus lv 7! Either I just have terrible luck, or you can’t breed it!
If any of u follow dirty_jill and Nessamay_5 on Instagram ill tell u some combinations for dragons.
For example u breed lava and blazing to get the lunar eclipse dragon.

Just got a Topaz my third try using Cactus (level 15) and Firefly (level 10) in EBC!!!! WOOT!!!!
What are the other options? My breeding guide says Ash and Scorch. Haven’t tried it though.
Anyone know how to breed the smoke dragon yet?? I can’t find any mention of it online so far, but the egg is available in the game market.
Just found the Smoke dragon when looking for help on topaz dragon. I found that it is a semi rare dragon and the only breeding listed is fire and air.
The Smoke Dragon has just been released today (November 15 2012) into DragonVale parks and it is another spectacular dragon for players to breed for in their game.
The color of this dragon is a very dark purple combined with light purple skin color. Its simply one of the most uniquely colored dragons ever released into DragonVale. The eye colors of this dragon has a orange and brown colored tone. If you step back from it’s body you will notice that it’s hair looks similar to smoke and there is also a similar design to its wings.
How to breed Smoke Dragon (Learn more)
The Smoke Dragon combines two very familiar elements. These elements are the Fire element and the Air element. These are two of the very basic beginner dragons which makes it easy (to a degree) to breed for the Smoke Dragon.
Recommended combination is using the Fire Dragon and the Air Dragon for a chance to get this dragon into your DragonVale. The breeding time is 14 hours and for upgraded breeding buildings its 11:11:59 hours.
Please keep in mind that this is a semi-rare dragon and that breeding the Smoke Dragon may not be easy. It will take time and breeding the Smoke Dragon is up to your game to give you the dragon and the breeding order of left or right will not affect your chance of getting it.
The level of your dragons also does not matter but your park must be at least level 14. Good Luck breeding!

when i was attempting to get a solar eclipse, i didnt know it, but i got it in about 3 seconds flat!Quickest breed ever!! it was blazing/obsidian.[ did you people know im doing this via 3DS [[ just wanted to look cool[[[ nickpapa42 is way full so don’t request me or if you do, don’t be suprsed if you get zip gems
What is the one on the far right?
anyone know how to see ALL the people who have gifted you gems. If i start my game it will only show me 4 names and then say “and others” not very helpful when you want to list the people who have gifted you so you know who to gift back. I try gifting everyone in my contacts but its hard man and 6 gems a day is pretty stingy!

Just keep trying I was there but I kept doing it over and over and over and once I got my topaz the other two were very easy I didn’t stop with one I just kept breeding cactus and firefly …..in both caves it will be well worth it ..I was going mental…..my daughters told me I’m crazy lol haha don’t give up you still have the half of the month good luck hope you can get it

Just an update, finally got it! Then I put them back in the breeding cave and got another! Only combo I tried was cactus and firefly.
This is terrible I tried to get it soooo many times I tried it at least 28 times and nothing yet! Does anyone have any tips my cactus and firefly are lv 10 ( the max level) I don’t have any gems at the minute and the coliseum takes to long can anyone help me on tips to get the topaz dragon or gems it would be much appreshiated
The cactus needs to be level 9, but the firefly is right.
Here’s a tip for breeding a Topaz dragon guys,.. make sure both your dragons are are in the optimised boost habitat… ie. both Firefly & Cactus dragon should be on an Island with its element boost (earning rate is positive green). That normally helps.

got my topaz last night at epic breeding… same with my solar eclipse (blazing and obsidian) at normal breeding… and smoke few hours ago…
I only need one more piece (the blue orb) to summon Kairos… and i did not even use a single gem in getting all the pieces even though i can afford it (I have 270 gems available)

I agree with you gem for gem is not true ..so now I only gift those who gift me when you stop I will stop …simple as that INSTAED of trying to frustrate myself thinking some people will gift back …THEY DO NOT …

after 33 tries i finally got the topaz dragon. Game Center ID=mollete12
I bred it in less than 10 mins. with Cactus and Firefly. It was easy! I tried ten times, then got it the 11th time 🙂
