The 2nd Egg is the Dragonvale Platinum Dragon Egg
Now that DRAGONVALE was kind enough to bring back the rare dragons like Leap Year, I am proud to say I have all the dragons even though some are in hibernation and I’m about to hit level 40. I hope they up the levels again and add some more islands. I will give gem 4 gem to who ever gets to me first. I play several times each day so I’m able to keep up. I also keep a log on my breeding since in the beginning it cost me to lose rare dragons by repeating or not using correct elements. Happy New Year Everyone and let’s hope they add islands, another universe, or planet or something to keep our Dragon families going for another year so we don’t have to sell habitats or dragons to continue playing. May 2013 bring more AWESOME dragons our way!!

Tried rust and water 5x ! Does not work keep getting rust. Fail
5 times and you call it a fail? lol I’ve tried combinations (especially for gem dragons) 30+ times before it works…
I got platinum by accident. Bred a metal dragon with a swamp dragon and got it first try.
I tried quicksilver and ash for quite a while and three rainbow dragons later I was frustrated and gave up. After about ten tries with quicksilver and metal I finally got it.
I also hope that they will level up the levels and add more islands. They also need to add new buildings to make it more fun to play. I’ve tried to get all the dragons but there are a few that I still need to breed. The platinum is hard for me to breed trying to get it since it was available to breed. Been breeding Quicksilver Dragon and Rust Dragon for 2days — so far 11 Rust Dragons in the regular cave and 10 Rust Dragons in the Epic Breeding Island.
That is impossible. Rust dragons alone have an 8 hour breeding time, which makes 168 hours in 2 days? Righto

Haha, I uh, got this just by breeding metal and water in an enchanted breeding cave. First shot. I don’t usually get this lucky!
Since January 6th using combinations where the only 2 results are a Rust Dragon or a Platinum Dragon I have bred 58 consecutive Rust Dragons ( 31 on the Epic Breeding Island and 27 in the regular cave). SCREW the Platinum Dragon. I’m going for the Guiness World Record for the most consecutive Rust Dragons and the most Rust Dragons in a fixed period of time. Don’t know what those two records are, but at the rate I’m going the records will be mine in no time. Anybody wan’t to quess at what the records will be or how many more days/weeks/ or months the streak will continue can respond by replying to this post.
It will take you 13.5 more days and my streak is 100 rusts then I gave up
The streak ended on January 12th at 4:50am est. After breeding my 61st consecutive Rust Dragon ( the 29th consecutive Rust Dragon in the regular cave), I wanted to change something up for my next breeding on the Epic Breeding Island. So instead of continuing with the Quicksilver Dragon & the Rust Dragon, I decided to bred a Magnetic Dragon & a Plasma Dragon for a few times. First attempt was a Magnetic Dragon. Second attempt was a Magnetic Dragon. Third attempt was a Platinum Dragon. Used 8 gems to speed up the first two breedings.
I’m at 141 rust dragons now. Would love to switch to another combo but I cant help but feel like I would just be starting over. Oh well, if I let this get to me I’ll just have to delete the game.

Depends if it’s an upgraded island or not… Upgraded it’s a copper dragon and not upgraded it’s either a plasma or current dragon…

My question is if you have a dragon that’s higher than a level 10 and you breed it with a level 10 will it stop you from getting some of these dragons? I’ve noticed when I breed, say a lvl 12 ash with quicksilver all I get is another ash.

I got it with a flash and water dragon
Bred mine this morning with Quicksilver and Magnetic in the ebi. I feel that including lightning helps your chances. After thig random combos of metal water and lightning for 2 days and got it after a month of quicksilver/water or metal.

I accidentally am getting one (I was trying to get a rainbow and nearly exploded when it said it would take about 49 hours because I thought I was getting a rainbow until I looked up the incubation time) and its my first try (for an attempt at rainbow) and in the breeding cave. So yea I’m accidentally getting a Platnum Dragon (ash +quicksilver. Someone on Instagram said he got rainbow with it)

Just bred a platinum dragon using rain and chrome.
I had been trying to breed this dragon for literally about a month with Rust and Water and got Rust every time. By chance, I tried Quicksilver and Rust, both level 15 on the EBI and got it on the first try finally! Hope this helps 🙂
So far no luck on the Platinum dragon, 0 out of 12 attempts.

Hey I was trying to get Cyclops and ended up with 49 hours left and the only dragon I can get with that amount of time is platinum… I got it by magnetic and swamp in that order I think both lvl 10 so maybe that works? Does anyone have an idea on another dragon this could be? I need gems on my gamecenter account I’m only lvl 9 on my iPod my name is RandomRainbows17 so please add me I’m hoping to get a higher lvl on my iPod soon I need gems for that though so I trade gems I send back as soon as possible so if I don’t send right back its probably because I sent gems earlier

I got this accidentally, I was trying to get a cyclops dragon in breeding cave, I checked the incubation time and it was 49 hours. I used swamp and magnetic. Got it on my first try breeding for a cyclops dragon. I got really lucky

I was trying to get the malachite dragon and the plasma dragon using a cactus dragon and a rust dragon, and suddenly I got a platinum dragon, maybe the ones that have not gotten one can try with this combination.

I tried every combination I could find online for weeks with no success. So I decided to change it up and bred Magnetic and Plasma in the EBI. First try I got Platinum! Whew!
You can breed the Platinum dragon with Swamp and Magnetic aswell.
I got 49h first try with swamp and magnetic in regular breeding cave lol.
Does it depend on whether you have rare dragons in th incubator? I just got a gold dragon egg.
Now it’s plantium? I’m lucky. Got all three treasure dragons: silver, gold, and plantium after a few days from now lol.
I wasn’t even going for plantium! But it’s the only dragon that has 49h. Lucky me!
I should go for gemstone dragons now. I have none of those but a gemstone island sitting there lol.
Second try with swamp and magnetic I got cyclops!!!
