I have the gemstone island and my goal for this year is to get every single one since I can have 12 dragons on the island and and the are 12 months in a year!

It’s really frustrating and and annoying, my mother has tried to get this dragon since the 1st of January, using Smoke and obsidian on both EBS and EBC but never got it. Thats weird because she got the last ten monthly gemstone dragons (since Aquamarine) plus Amber, Jade and Jet allways within the month, even at the 30th of a month. Some people say that breeding more frequently the same combination decreases your chance to get a rare dragon, which may be true but makes me wonder how she got the other gem dragons. I think there is any other combination and if you know any, please reply to this post. 🙂

I kept getting lava nd smoke
Well todays the 31st of January which means that I have just spent a solid month breading smoke and obsidian in both caves non stop and never got a garnet dragon. A total of 96 fails in a row with nothing to show for it. Wish I could give you guys my gems because I’m done with this game.

For F’s sake! I spent the entire month, logging in at least once if not twice a day to keep my breeding rotation constant. I kept a rotation at both breeding coves of smoke and obsidian. Spent over 200 gems, especially tonight in my last hours of breeding. Currently I have no Garnet dragon, after about 98 attempts, depleted of gems, and can officially say I HATE this game now…..
Agreed – tried at least twice a day, with both an epic island and an upgraded habitat (with two different sets of smoke/obsidian dragons) and nada. The fail rate on this was epic – am considering stopping playing for now. I am so frustrated. =(

Finally got it today after about 20 tries.
I have tried all month too. I am going to give it one more shot tonight, I still like the game but it should be easier to get the garnet dragon. Having trouble getting the dodo dragon too.

I cant believe I got it from my last desperate try 😀
I saw the msg that its the last night ti get it, and i used all gems i had to speed up produce and incubating time so i ciul try more. When I spent my last gems I said screw it, wont get it and then went to chek breeding time of that egg and saw 1:06:59 ^_^
Was trying for whole month and nothing and then I get it in these last hours 🙂

I got it on my first try, in fact, I got 5 or 6 of them in the first week alone. This seemed to be one of the easier ones.
Want to give me one? =P I’ve been trying nonstop all month and I was hoping to get it too, sincevjanuary is my birth month =(

Got 2 31-hour breeding times, back to back just now.
Cave: obsidian level 10 on left and fountain of youth smoke level 10 on right.
Island: obsidian level 15 on left and smoke level 10 on right.
Been trying almost everyday, since the 1st.
if you’ve fountain of youth’d them it doesn’t make a difference… the only thing that really matters is the level. I got my rainbow dragon first try lvl 10 crystal and lvl 10 blue fire, in regular breeding cave. currently trying for second rainbow, would be happy with moon or sun though.

Hey guys! I used this combo, smoke+obsidian in that order in the normal breeding cave. When I checked the incubation time, it turned out as 2 days: 1:23:59:59, (sorry if I wrote that wrong). Point is, does anybody know what dragon this is?? Because I have no clue!

it is a Rainbow, Gold, Sun, Moon (sun and moon times can occasionally vary), Seasonal, Solar Eclipse, Lunar Eclipse dragon.

I have been breeding smoke and obsidian nonstop for over a week. All I get is lava, obsidian, smoke,
Blazing,scorch,. I keep trying by mixing the pairings up, boosting the levels, whatever I can think of. So far notta!
It is really frustrating…
L12 Smoke, L12 Obsidian on EBI for 16 Days (by now) with 3-4 Trys each day (52 Trys) – and no success.
This dragon seems to be really rare… Only 11/2 days left. Does anybody have an idea, how to enforce the luck?
Woah woah! Was literally about to give up on this. It is currently 11:15 pm, so this would’ve been my very last breeding attempt, use last 6 gems to speed up my current breeding cave. Retry breeding. BAM 24 hrs 48 mins breeding time!
i got it second try but i decided to raise my dragon lvl so they were lvl 14 both and got it first try with that lvl. however when i tried doing it with lvl 12 it didn’t work. perhaps its because of the the lvl but I’m not sure

Maybe it’s because it’s the end of the month, but I took someone’s advice and put my obsidian dragon in the Fountain of Youth. That with a 17 smoke dragon, first try on EBI and I have a 31 hour soak! Assuming it’s a garnet dragon!

YES! I breed 2 dragons and got the ultimate dragon that will do bad things to everyone, the Trump Dragon… It has kung fu action arms…. Sweeeeeeeeeeeeet, I’ll beat anyone now with it… Common I dear you.
I’m starting to lose hope for this little guy/girl. Have been trying with obsidian and smoke for like 15 times now and I’m kinda sick of it. Too bad. But I got two other gemstone dragons so I won’t be without any (Diamond and Turquoise).
