Finally got my amethyst! I’d say it took about 30+ times, made a bundle doing it so I can’t complain! Add me for gem swaps! -!(AD4M)!-
I have gotten two suns, a moon, too many hail, sonic and blizzards… meh… amethyst you are being a pain in my rear.
I have breed lots of dragons with that combination (including sun YAY) but I haven’t got the amethyst yet. I have been doing this since Feb 3rd and I haven’t got it yet. Is there another combination because I really would like this dragon.
Hi you can try blizzard and crystal dragon. Or air and firefly. Or air and lightning dragon.
There’s only one combination that will work for each individual gemstone dragon. For the Amethyst, only Hail and Sonic will work.
So far every attempt resulted in a storm dragon… Is it a requirement to have them lvl 10? Mine are only lvl 9.
(I refuse to buy gems. That’s cheating! =P)
I have my third incubating I’ve gotten all of mine in the morning around 10 o clock. Try it and let me know if it works for you I’ll probably try again tomorrow.

I don’t think your dragon level matters. I’ve been trying to get this dragon since February 1st in both breeding caves and I still don’t have it. Two of my paired dragons are level 15, so prior to today’s app upgrade, that shouldn’t have mattered. I still can’t catch a break even after the app upgrade, I bred my level 15 dragons on the Epic Breeding Island and received an 8 hour breeding time AGAIN. I’ve even blown through $5 worth of gems trying to get it and I’m finished throwing money away. This is the most frustrating dragon yet. I’ve never had this much trouble getting a dragon and I have almost all of them.
I finally got mine on the 75th try!
This has been the hardest gemstone dragon yet! Got 2 suns but no amethyst. The quest continues…

Took a long time for me! I was trying 2-3 times a day and just got 28 hours! Hail then sonic is the right combination you just cant give up and gotta keep trying!

Not so important when you already have 12 gemstone dragons. Level 40 is a drag!

Okat Backflip are taking the piss right? Every day since the 1st of feb I have been trying for this dragon. I got my Love on first try and after getting another hail and sonic pair to level 10 I’ve got them both on the go in opposite selections. I have had them both like that for the past week and every day its either 8hrs or 10rs no difference I getting tired of this I mean my Gold Dragon came on the like the 10th try and I was breeding that for two days -.- SERIOUSLY PEEVED D:
I agree. Spent way too many gems on breeding hail and sonic. It doesn’t seem possible at this point. I’ll try updating the app and give it another go. I’d update too if you haven’t already.

i got the amethyst dragon with hail and sonic by accident when trying to breed a thunder dragon
Still trying for the Amathyst Dragon. Last dragon I need, I have all the rest. Keep getting sun and storm. Hail/sonic also gave me three of the new Thunder dragons. Didn’t even know about that dragon till it’s egg showed up when one of my pairs finished breeding. I’ll keep trying till the end.
On another note. What’s with all the sound effects. It seems that with the latest upgrade everything you tap on has a sound effect. Even the food farms have sound effects now.
Yet another note. Why doesn’t Keiros affect the coliseum? He moves everything else forward 6 hours but not the coliseum.
I still haven’t gotten my Amethyst Dragon even though I’ve been breeding Hail/Sonic since the beginning of the month but I did get a Sun Dragon
Okay, have been trying since the 1st of February to get this ruddy dragon …… I appreciate they are rare and should be hard to get but this is too much ….give us all a break and set a fan minimum/maximum amount of tries to get it …. not fair backflip … not fair!

Oh my gosh. This dragon was SO FRUSTRATING! I finally got it after what felt like the millionth try. All I can say is I got it with Hail on the left and Sonic on the right. Just keep trying! I got two suns and another 48 hour dragon first before getting this pesky dragon.
Now, onto the river dragon attempts. 🙂

Im about to stop trying…. Im breeding about 2-4 times a day (dependong on what it gives me) almost everytime i try i get a poison, flower, sonic, hail, or thunder ….. I’ ve never had this hard time trying to gwt the dragon i want

Finally got Amethyst at 16:58 (GMT). Tried 16:54,55,56,57 – either snow or hail. Try 2 mins befor full hour. Good luck!

I finally got this dragon after breeding on hail &sonic for 20 days. Am just going to try to get second. I don’t even have the rose bc I am trying for this darn thing!! Frustrating but just keep trying people. I honestly think it is completely random!!!
Try updating the game to the newest version. That was my problem and after I updated I got it on the second try
Kay, so Iv updated the game, an Iv only gotten hail, sonic, and storm dragons. No moon, no sun, no amythest.. Getting really ticked off >:(
Same here. I have tried at least 40 times and haven’t got a thing. At least they could throw me a sun or a moon for my efforts…. I will keep trying at this point just because I don’t want all this time and effort to go to waste.

Tried everyday since the first for amethyst with no luck!! All of the sudden, I have gotten 3 back to back in regular cave with hail and sonic!!!!

YES! FINALLY! After countless times I finally got it! And it was getting close to the end of February.

Took me like 12 tries to get it. Surprisingly, 1 of those 12 gave me a sun dragon, so you should add that to your list for sun dragon. 😀 thxs for the help!
Seriously, I have tried every day and still not got one, am I really going to have to wait a year? Taking the pee! Enough now, either play it fair or be honest and say you won’t get one! One day left and totally fed up!!!
