The 1st Egg is the Dragonvale Diamond Dragon Egg
I got silver by breeding ice and mine. Then on the 2nd try I got the platinum dragon
I also got silver on the 1st attempt, iceberg on 2nd attempt, now on 3rd attempt, still no diamond.
Gemstone dragons are possibly the hardest dragons to breed. It took me 5 tries to get the diamond. Don’t get discouraged if you don’t get it on the first try.
Tried this over 10 times, getting lots of Rust and Steel dragons…hopefully soon!

Finally got the Diamond dragon after about 18 tries…this was a difficult one for me – level 15 Ice & level 15 Mine.

Still no diamond here …. little bugger is being stubbornly elusive. But I too got a silver with this combo. Unexpected but not unwelcomed — I didn’t have a silver yet. 🙂
Uggh!!!!! I just got 2 Silver back to back 1 in each cave! Now I have to wait 2 days before I can even try for the Diamond again! I hope ice and mine are on your list to get a Silver dragon Doc.

Looks like I got no luck with this dragon. Didn’t even get platinum after 6 tries of Ice and Mine
It took me 6+ and 8+ but I stayed with the combo until I got 24 hrs in the floating upgraded GL All 🙂 keep trying its a tough one and still have not heard of another working combo

I got silver in Bredding Cave and Platinum in Epic Breeding Island by using ice+mine

LOL. I feel your pain. That’s how it usually goes for me too. On the bright side, at least in trying for the diamond I’ve wound up with 3 other dragons I didn’t have before — quicksilver, silver, and now steel.

Delete the game from your kindle and then reinstall it. When you reinstall it will be the updated version.

Boy this one is being a pain in the derrière! Still no diamond even after about 10 breedings now on EBI. Ah, well. Just got a steel from the ice x mine which I did not have yet and got a silver a couple tries before that. (Would that constitute a “silver lining”? Heh. 😀 )
I’m using level 12 Ice and Mine, but I keep getting Rust, Iceberg, Mine, and other ice or steel hybrids. How do you all get Silvers and Platinums? Lol I’m not aiming for those, but it would be nice to get them by accident. Mostly I want that diamond dragon.

Diamond’s aren’t this girl’s best friend, either – I’ve been breeding it in both my EBC and my EBI. Though I just got 23 hrs. in my EBI – don’t suppose there’s any chance that’s it?

OMG this one is taking forever, so far a bunch of steel, iceburgs, mines ughhh. I know Android version had an update yesterday and I thought it might have been an issue with the programming but still no go.
Got my first Diamond Dragon on the first day and put it on my Gem Island when it hatched to complete the full 12 different Gem Dragons. Now working on My second which will be displayed when it finishes incubating. that will complete the Gemstone Egg Display on my Egg Island. Then I will have every Egg so,far on Display again 🙂
Wonder what they will come up with after the Gemstones are done..
Grr. 3rd attempt, got 2 mine, and 1 silver.
Over 30 tries. Got back to back Platinum. At least 10 quicksilver. Also getting lots of Glacier, ice and mine. Have used a few hundred gems to rush breeding. Still no diamond. This dragon is really hard to get!
I also have gotten hundreds of other drains except diamond. Unfortunately, I have not been lucky enough to get silver or platinum. I have gotten quicksilver, iceberg, ice, be tried switching ice and mine, mine and ice, I have even tried iceberg and mine, mine and iceberg. I guess it just depends on luck. It is a gem dragon, so it’s not like it is very easy. I have counted how many times I have tried, and it has literally been 40 tries to get it. I have over 18.000.000 coins, but I am very low on gems. Does anybody have a a secret on how they are getting so lucky perhaps?

3rd try: silver dragon, 5th try: platinum dragon, all in epic breeding island. In another situation i would be happy, but i already have 2 of each of this dragons and i want t get DIAMOND. Is there another combination instead of ice and powder!?!?
