I have been trying to get the Diamond dragon, without any luck though. Tried breeding ice and mine about 25-30 times now. This sucks 🙁
Same here tried at least 30 times have gotten 3 silver 2 platinum 1 rainbow about 10 steel it’s been irritating plus I’m doing it double time on both the upgraded island and breeding cave! FML!
Is the breeding cave or breeding island better to get the diamond dragon ??

well the breeding cave is better but the ultimate thing would be lv20 dragons/be redding cave but I do not know how to get my dragons over lv10 I do not know
Upgrade your shrines. This will allow you to go past level 10.
Well f…k got 1 silver -,- The 2 Months ago me would be happy but now that i hae all epic dragons except cyclops and 2 olympic im not very satiesfied this will be my 3rd silver ffs

Made over 30 breedings (half of them – with 2 lvl 15 dragons) – still nothing yet: lot of Ice, Iceberg, Mine, some Rust, few Steel, one Quicksilver…
This combo has given me three platinum dragons (49 hours!), but no diamond yet.
How do I buy a Diamond Dragon, when it doesn’t show in the egg market scroll?

I don’t understand how to get this, over been using ice and mine since the beginning if the month and still have not got it.

got 1 but i used gems when i knew it wasnt a diamond dragon if both of them are Lv 15 it helps alot
A lot of steel dragon. And working on my 3rd platinum dragon. But no diamond yet.
No diamond yet here but wouldn’t mind snagging a platinum along the way. Most have been the common dragons like rust
I got it! Finally today. Level 15 dragons. Ice on left side and mine on right. Took awhile but it is possible. Good luck with the breeding guys.

You can also get a Diamond with Lunor Eclipse and Blue Moon combo!
Never mind I just thought it was a diamond because of its breeding time but it turned out to be a blue moon, which is weird because its expired right now!
5 try’s In 3 days I got a platnum , silver, ice, and 2 dimonds. Wow it normally takes me two weeks to get one but two Gems back to back on try 5 wow
Well what time did you breed them? I think time affects gemstones dragons like it does moon and sun dragon, you have to breed them at a certain time

I thought I was going insane because I knew I wasn’t breeding anything else except Ice and Mine and I just got a Motley egg myself. What tha???
First try i got a platinum dragon
Second i got diamond
3rd try i got a 48 hour breeding time
So i kinda happy 🙂

Havent got a diamond dragon yet, breeded mine and ice like20 times now and still nothing, and im wondering Can you get the diamond dragon by breeding? If you cant buy it! When i go in to the egg shop the only gemstone dragon there is the aquamarine!! 🙁 can anyone else buy it? Is it just me , 🙁

For those getting diamond what level dragons are you using? Beginning to think level 15+ won’t get it. Also anyone else’s game crashing (iPhone 5)? Reinstalled but still happens sometimes when I start a breeding.
Although many people are complaining they are not getting a diamond dragon, did you really think it would be that easy? It’s a diamond dragon…. It’s strictly April and it’s gemstone… So they are hard to breed. I have been trying, too, and I haven’t had very good luck. I just keep getting ice and iceberg. But since ice and iceberg are almost exactly the same, why don’t some people try iceberg and mine? It just might give you some new luck! I just tried ice and mine… It’s 18 hour breeding period… Any ideas what it is?
First of all it is my understanding that gemstone dragons have only one possible breeding combination, so the suggestion to try something different would be a waste of time. Second, there does seem to be an added level of difficulty for the last several gemstone dragons. When the first dragon, Ruby, came out last May I bred 9 and wasn’t even exclusively breeding for Ruby. Lately the gemstone combinations are producing more epic dragons clogging up the breeding and hatching spaces. I got 4 sun and 5 moon going for last months gem dragon, and on my 4th platinum this month. Obviously making the breeding harder and programming breeding combinations that produce excessive 48 and 49 hour breeding and hatching times is an effort to get people to purchase more gems, just like releasing limited dragons for only 3 days like Celtic. Have to say that after a year of playing I am not enjoying the recent dragonvale changes.
I am beginning to wonder if purchasing gems increases your chances. If those who got Diamond would report whether they had recently made an in-game purchase we might be able to establish a trend. It is indeed very likely that the game is “rigged” to maximize profits over enjoyment. Such is life.

Tried around 30-40 times,keep on getting motly,qiucksilver,mine,ice,steel and 1 platinum dragon, noone can give six gems a day, max is 4

I bred ice and mine and got a 48hr breeding time. I only have a moon dragon so far, and It’s on 1:00pm so I know it’s not a moon dragon, so I’m excited even though it isn’t a diamond dragon

O mah god im gettin a spring dragon!
So far I have managed to get 2 after many many tries. Got both of them in the regular breeding cave with both level 15 ice and mine dragon and in the afternoon/ evening. The first one 6.50pm and second one 2.50pm. Hope that helps anyone who wants to try. Good luck.
Got it!:) in cave w/ ice on left & mine on right!! I think it was around my 8th try. Also… I did it exactly like that again after getting diamond for another to showcase and it gave me another one!!!! That’s not the first time that’s happened either;)

Twice I’ve gotten the silver dragon from this. The diamond and emerald dragon I can never get
At least 30 tries and no Diamond. Last month wouldn’t give up an aquamarine for display either. Diamond is NOT in the market and Backflip is not answering emails about it. And yes this game crashes my iPhone all the time. Guess its time to stop playing 🙁

Did ice and mine in EBI. Got silver on first try, but no diamond! Now I have to wait 47 hours till I can do ice and mine again! I’m glad I got a silver instead of a random common dragon, but I’ve never gotten a gemstone dragon before and I really want the diamond! Guess I’ll just have to try again. ????
