I wasnt even trying to get one but I got one with lvl 13lava and. Lvl13 ruin. I already have 2 and one on a pedistal but I got ken (again) it’s getting annoying really! I mean I just want the dragon I’m breeding for! But hopes that helps anyone (P.S.- I used epic breeding cave)
Same! I wasn’t trying to get it either! I have been trying for the moonstruck dragon and I got it with love and rose! Now I am trying for the aurora dragon!

I was trying to breed this dragon for so long. After many failed attempts, possibly somewhere in the hundreds, i gave up. Shortly afterwards, I quit the game. However, recently, I got the game back because a couple of friends were playing. I was trying to breed the emerald dragon (thx macenstein for the breeding combo) and i ended up getting the double rainbow. I wasn’t even trying for it. I was trying to get the emerald and had tried several times before.
It seems like dragonvale only gives you double rainbow dragons when you are not trying to breed them but never give them to you when you are trying.
I got one in cooperative breeding cave with apocalypse and Glimmerwing dragon on first try!
Got a 60 hour (2 days, 12 hour) incubation time with a level 9 quake and a level 10 flower! I feel so lucky, I didn’t expect that. btw add me my game center is ravenleigh123
I randomly breeded the water+comet and got the double rainbow on the cooperative breeding cave
I got it first try in the co-operative breeding cave gold and cyclops
somehow I’ve gotten my rainbow and double rainbow dragons on accident while trying to get other rare dragons. I got rainbow trying to breed for seasonal and I got double rainbow trying to breed for ruby
I got mine in the co-op breeding island with Lvl 7 Tempest and Lvl 10 Bizurian first try. Very reliable combo.
I obtained the double rainbow dragon through the co-operative breeding cave using to galaxy dragons! The Procyon and comet dragons at level 10 gave me a huge surprise of a sixty hour incubation time and later a shining prismic double rainbow dragon egg when I Was merely attempting to breed more comet dragons. Luv twenty five and I hadn’t even attempted to make either of the rainbow dragons and now I have the one that’s harder to breed already by pure dumb luck!
Oh and when I added shining and prismic I was describing the qualities of the design of the double rainbow dragon egg. ?
i got a 60 hour time with conifer (level 11) and crystal (level 11) on the breeding island.
It was weird, but I got double rainbow in the Rift breeding cave with Wraith(cold trait) lvl 4 and Light Rift lvl 11, in the cold alignment.
I got it first time in the normal breeding cave with a level 7 Bolt and level 7 Fog
So I was not trying at ALL to get this, but I got it with a Mine (lvl 14), and a Cactus (also lvl 14). Dunno if this’ll help anyone, but thought I’d still put it out there.
I got it by breeding a level 9 luminous dragon and a level 7 lava dragon
I randomly got double rainbow with the Nova and Poison in the cooperative breeding cave.
I got it! I actually used two similarity dragons both lvl 10 in the cooperative breeding cave. What is the likelyhood of that?
Got it with loadstone and Arcturian dragon in the co op cave, definitely recommend this combo, got double rainbow and bronze Olympus back to back 🙂
