What is the breeding time for an upgraded breeding cave??? 48?
Breeding cave is still 60 hours for DRD and 48 for RD if you upgrade your caves with gems then I know that the RD is 41 hours and I’m yet to get the DRD but I’m sure it will be between 49 and 51 hours

I Got it on my first try, snow – seaweed, both 15, and it was a 48 breeding time with Upgraded cave. And its really not that hard to do the math :p the Double Rain is 60 hours and with the Cave upgraded the time is degraded by 20%. 20% off 60 is 48 🙂 a little math lesson, on me lol.

Finally got mine snow and seaweed also. Now if I can only get the pearl. Darn gem dragons love to evade me. Lol

Ash and Salamander would be the quickest way to get the Double Rainbow or Rainbow because if you don’t get it, you only have to wait 2-6 hours for breeding and incubation. 2hr (Flower Fragon) and 6hr (Firefly Dragon). Hope this helps 🙂
No, Ash & Salamander also has 9-hr,12-min egg, and this is the upgraded (shortened) breeding time; probably several more results as well. Too bad that Dragoncalc doesnt show this pairing to see all the possible esults.
Thanks for this info….I started this combo last night and this morning I tried it again and it worked!! Luckily I am using the upgraded breeding island so I only have 48 hours to wait….yes!

I got this dragon using crystal & blazing, both level 13!
I can’t believe. It. I just got 48 hours in EBC which I am hoping is the double rainbow. The weird thing is I’ve been trying for 2 years and still don’t have a regular rainbow dragon!

Yes it is a DRD…I got 48 hours on EBI and it is a double!!! Now I have to wait the 60 hours for it to hatch!!! So excited

HOLY CRAP!!! I Was trying to get a moon dragon with a glacier and a sonic
Dragon and I got a DOUBLE RAINBOW dragon with a 0.1% chance

Snow & seaweed in my regular breeding cave. What’s more, the snow is only level 8.. I was trying to get a pearl & a double rainbow showed up.

Hey everybody. I don’t need gems or anyone to trade with. Just check out my park. I tried to make it look really nice and as realistic as possible if a dragon park actually did exist. My name is Evan_Beezy. Check out my three main element islands. Then I have my Olympus island, my island of the Panlong (life & death) and Dragon family island (mostly baby dragons). Then I have two Epic islands, for my Sun & Moons and all the others. Let me know what u think. I have every dragon except this Double Rainbow. I will soon tho. I did the Forge and Blizzard dragon and got 60 hours come up so I knew it is the double raindow dragon.

Got it second try with Chrome + Salamander in Epic Breeding Island <3
This dragon is hard to get so I’m going to level up a couple of dragons to 20 and see if the helps. I was wondering if anyone knows how much the level 15 plus dragons help by?
Have not helped me 🙁 using level 17, 18 & 19.. I just brought out new ones from my cave and am now using lv 10 & 12. Having absolutely no luck with the combos and went through 100’s of gems. I’ve been getting a lot of rainbows but no doubles !!! Good luck to you I’m taking a break…. Extremely frustrated!!!!
Dear Bakemon, This is going to be an extremely hard dragon to get. Previously the 2 most difficult dragons for me were the Platinum Dragon ( a little over one month) and the Rainbow Dragon ( one month). I have set a target date of about July 15th and hope to breed a Double Rainbow Dragon by then. I believe that would be reasonable time frame and goal. There are millions of Dragonvale players and may 100 to 200 have got a Double Rainbow Dragon by this time. Conserve gems , try a variety of working combinations and give yourself a reasonable target date.
Thank you for the words of encouragement. I have been playing this for over a year now and have found the rainbow dragons to be the most elusive ones for me. I have not given up simply not trying as hard. The double will pop up when I least expect it that is the fun part. Target dates are not for me lol perhaps during working hours but not when gaming… I wanted it the day it came out was not lucky enough to get it I will eventually its the only one I don’t have so do trust it will come just not when I want it to :0) patience is a must when playing this. Got it first time with lava and sonic! Try it if you get 60 gems to speed up then you hot it!

Iron and iceberg. In the normal island. 60 hours. I think it is the double rainbow. My luck is high.
I thought i would never get this dragon!!! However i just got it with water and love!!!! I had very short wait times as well with this combo. Good luck! 🙂

Trying firefly and seaweed and keep getting crappy ones.. Think flower and poison… Just know they are 1 gem speed ups.

Got double dragon at 5:30 am with salamander and ash first try…I have three more gems and play every day
Here’s a story, I hadn’t played Dragonvale for like 10 days and I found out that there was 2 NEW dragons (Bearded and Double Rainbow) I was trying for Pearl and so With my EBI I did snow and seaweed and first try got 60 hr breeding time DOUBLE RAINBOW DRAFON FIRST TRY!!!!
I got it my first try when I randomly put a bearded dragon with a butterfly dragon in the regular cave! (:
Ash and salamander both lvl 13…. Took me bare gems but its worth it
I finally got 48hr in upgraded cave after so many tries & used up all my gems too. Same both cave I have use ash + salandmander (both lvl 15) I got normal rainbow before I got this double rainbow. I has tried all above combo + snow + seaweed without success
I got it while trying to get a butterfly dragon. With blazing and firefly. Level 10, breeding island.

Butterfly lvl 15 and ice lvl 11 got me a 48hr breeding time on upgraded island, this has to be the double rainbow, since there’s no other options, only took 3 tries with this combination, good luck peeps!

I just got this dragon with glacier and quicksilver 1st try…. I was actually trying for the bearded dragon but got double rainbow instead
Finally got DDOUBLE RRAINBOW!! Blaze & Swamp (both level 17). Been trying constantly since it was announced!
So I tried breeding my new DOUBLE with Rainbow … And got another DOUBLE!
Keep trying as it just takes lots and lots of tries sometimes (and lots of patience)
